sometimes quite outdated, but overall inspiring
Despite being quite old, and a sort of traditional HG Wells' kind of sci-fi, it hides totally contemporary issue, on minority, democracy, humanity, on how much we can put up with before getting back to the primeval jungle. Unexpectedly thought-provoking one, as a sci-fi should truly be
Such a sweet read! Steamy, fun, cute. Slightly cheesy, of course, and borderline Disney, of course, but with the nerdy wit to take it at bay. Loved it
Emma is certainly a spoilt, pretentious, unlikable creature, at first. Then of course you end up liking her, for the way she has courage enough to change. BUT I would have liked better to have more Mr knightley in this story. Her love story was too little, and too subtle. There was more scheming than relations, and it was quite less fun than I was used to.
Some essays are stunning, lyrical, eye opening, others were still interesting if not mind blowing.
Some truly poignant short stories, others a bit plain, or not entirely comprehensible, in a way. But the way she speaks of addiction, alcoholism, sick love and plain life can be really insightful, and delicate, and to the point
2 per la pochezza della storia, l'orrore per il protagonista, per la noia mortale delle piene 200pp e le ultime 100. 4 stelle per la scrittura, i dialoghi, RUGGERO!! Ma la media stona, ho idea
