The author is the narrator and her voice is so very monotone. I tried to listen but it really should be someone who has experience narrating and knows how to read out loud to an audience. 
Maybe it would be a good story to read instead but I didn’t find it that interesting in the 8% I finished to even bother considering that option. 

This was an okay read. Nothing thrilling but quite interesting. 

Unfortunately I figured out what the 

"bad guy" had done to the victims so it was not a big surprise when that was revealed. It was a cool concept as a weapon though. 

This was my first book from this author so I have nothing to compare to. I neither liked nor disliked this story. 
Unfortunately my midway rating is mostly because I didn’t l/couldn’t connect with any of the characters, good or bad. There just did not seem to be anything about any of them I could latch on to. 
This story had many threads going off on different tangents and I had a hard time keeping them straight. Even the twist for the ending had me a bit perplexed. 
I am going to read another of this author’s books  since so many like her thrillers!
