I'm left sobbing from yet another TJ Klune masterpiece. There's nothing more human than a broken heart, and I feel like this book healed mine just a little bit. There is profound hope and love in this book, and I adored every page.

Man, I was pretty disappointed by this book. I am a huge fan of TJ Klune, but this book felt so slow and not quite engaging enough to keep my interest during the slow parts. I did force myself to read all of it. Nothing really happened until 40% through the book, and the ending was slow and emotionally painful, in a depressing leaves you sad for the rest of the day way.

It might be that I'm not a huge fan of robots and the war between humans and robots thing, but this missed the mark for me as TJ Klune hardly EVER does for me. He's a fantastic writer normally. Maybe it's just me?

Maybe I will try the audiobook later on and see if it improves my view of the book. I sure hope so.

Inspiring, heartwarming, and kind. This novel is about four women who have been through the wringer having a second chance at life and having each other to confide in. I really enjoyed the theme of second chances at life after traumatic events and your select friends loving and supporting you despite it all.

A little too much description and rambling here and there, but overall this was a warm hug of a book that kept me engaged and giddy the whole way through! I loved the characters, I’m obsessed with the romance, and the animals are too damn quirky and cute! Fabulous book

Wow. Best book in this trilogy. I’m speechless, and literally in tears.

An 18 hour audiobook…. All of it felt horrifically long and dry. But also, I can’t get behind her sending him money and stamps all the time even after she acknowledges he did in fact kill all those women. She literally throws up in horror, but still writes to him and sends him stamps… come on girl… he murdered so many women and children. The author acts like she did it out of hope he still had humanity in him, but it’s kind of obvious it was actually to be able to add updates onto an already very long book. If it had stopped where it had originally did and didn’t have two hours added on for no reason I might have rated it higher. Idk. This was hard and a little cringy at times to get through. Parts were interesting, but nothing was linear either and it jumped back and forth so much.

This was hard to rate. It was a good book overall, but the characters were pretty unlikable, and I really mean the sisters were unlikable. Their flaws were glaring. The pacing was a little off of the story too. I finished most of the book in a day though and I never got bored. I loved Pila. Overall it was ok, but I’m disappointed. This was one of my most anticipated reads.

A little too slow at times, but very interesting and unexpected plot lines.

After struggling to read this book for a very long time, I had to DNF the majority of the way through. It was so boring I actually kept falling asleep trying to read it on multiple occasions. And somehow at the same time, it wasn’t at all cozy because of the large amounts of extremely triggering racism, life on the run because of racism, and missing child that was all treated as nothing? I just love the cozy genre, it’s my favorite thing, but this book was not for me. There was no plot and things that were a big deal, just somehow weren’t an issue at all. And everything rushed at the end. Just extremely disappointing.
