Not perfect, but breathtaking and emotional. A beyond touching story of love and found family. It made me wish I was a part of their world. So much so that I couldn’t put the book down (even at work! Oops) and I finished it in two days. 

If a book can make me happy cry from the amazing and touching ending, that’s a 5 star book. And let me tell you there are not many of those books for me. But this? This book was one of them. One of two by the same author in fact. I desperately hope there will be more in this series. It’s become my happy place. 

Listening to this a second time has made me appreciate it even more than the first time. From 3.5 stars to 4.

I really can’t get past the horrible performance of the audiobook narrator 

I really wanted to line this book, and at first I really did. The ending though… ruins absolutely everything. Very frustrating. 

Very, very cute book. I love T. kingfisher. She makes every book uniquely intriguing and beautiful in various ways. This was a ya book, so it was complex as I’m used to reading, but it was inspiring and great nonetheless. The progress the main characters make is incredible!

It’s just not for me. When I stopped it, I didn’t want to start again and dreaded thinking of making myself finish it. I ended up just googling the end and the killer was already who I suspected anyway.
