I came to the reviews in hopes they'd inspire me to keep reading, but everyone's issues with the book are also my issues with the book. Halfway through and the FMC becomes incredibly annoying (reviews say she gets worse), there are plot holes in the very little story there is, and the spice is good but there's more of that than there is an ounce of the plot (that, again, has plot holes).

I really wanted to like this book, but instead I'm going to DNF and not give it a star rating so it won't effect the ratings of the book overall, but only because the author is lesser known and some people might still really like it.

Liz is really annoying a lot of the time.

The characters are hardly that lovable, but you can’t help but root for them in the very end. I admit  the last part of the book made me like them a little more, but just barely so. Either way I adore the ending and the entire journey was dark, eerie, and disturbing. It was a fantastic ride, and a great take on vampirism. 

Darker than I expected, but still lots of cozy elements to it. I found the story compelling and I loved the characters. 

Honestly a complete masterpiece. Usually I find myself get frustrated and impatient with murder mystery stories, but this one I was intrigued and on the edge of my seat the whole time.
