It took me about half way through to truly get into this book. At first I wanted to DNF, but I kept going with the hopes that it would get better. Spoiler alert - it did. I truly enjoyed enjoyed this story. Even though I was able to predict one big “twist” I still really enjoyed the world building and writing style. I felt like I was in the world learning and growing with the main characters. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 instead of a 5 star is because how long it took me to get into it and I found some parts hard to follow. Loved this book and kept wait to read the next 2 books in this trilogy.

Loved this book. Easy read and very engaging throughout. Not sure if I’ll finish the series as I heard the second book isn’t that great. I would like to leave this series on a high note
