Sam is going to turn me into a thriller reader, I swear.
This book was fast paced and I seriously could not keep up with the twists and turns.
We follow Imogen, a celebrity blogger who lives at home with her mom and brother who has autism, who has been obsessed with actor Dolian Crawford her entire life.
After winning an online contest, she gets the opportunity to go to the red carpet premier of his new film. However, she definitely did not expect to find herself as the prime suspect in a murder case.

infinity stars if I could.
- bodyguard x pageant queen
- Grumpy sunshine
- Forced proximity
- He falls first
- Age gap
- Forbidden
- She adopts a kitten on their road trip 😻
Jamie’s working at a club as security for Riggins’ band and he happens to cross paths with Ava. However he doesn’t realize that their story is just about to begin when he then gets contracted to go work security for the upcoming pageant tour.
The pageant queen you ask? No one other than Miss Ava (who happens to be a major book lover!)
Their relationship is fire hot from the start and their banter and teasing is so amazingly funny that I didn’t want their story to end. I truly could’ve read another 3 books of them. Jamie is such a sap for Ava and watching his strong outer shell slowly crumble and fall in love with her and her little nuances had me kicking my feet and laughing like a little school girl.
And the ENDING. I just can’t.
AN ACTUAL ENEMIES TO LOVERS!!
This is the FIRST book in the perverse city series that *must be read in order*
- enemies to lovers
- Forbidden
- Magical realism
- Forced proximity
- Insults as foreplay
- Murder as foreplay
- he uses her dagger to do what.. 👀
What an amazing first book to set the scene and the world up for the rest of this series! Six families are in charge, and it’s time for someone new to step up. Mercy serves the god of death, and Wolfgang serves the god of idolatry, and they’ve hated each other, well, for forever. So what could possibly go wrong?
“I despise her. I crave her. I will have her.”
I mean, seriously, Wolfgang calls Mercy “my ruin” 🥵. The hate, the energy, the tension, the angst, I simply cannot wait for book 2 to see how this world grows and what else these depraved characters can get into 👀
“A lifetime isn’t enough. A lifetime is still much too short.” 🥺
what an emotional rollercoaster, it was exactly what I expected and needed from an Ellen Hopkins book.
Lake and Storm are twins that have gone through such terrible trials and hardship that eventually ended them split up in the foster care system. Ellen always writes characters that can overcome their challenges and hardships with such grace and brings attention to such difficult and tough topics.
The teenager deep inside of me cannot thank penguin teen enough for this NetGalley arc!!

these four — wow!!
- dark college hockey romance
- Coaches daughter
- Touch her and ☠️
- Bully romance
Sydney is trying to find her footing in a new school after she left her old one after she happened to find herself in a sticky situation. Her dad also just so happens to be her new schools hockey coach. As she starts at her new school, she’s struggling with some extreme bullying as well as trying to navigate her feelings with her ex-boyfriend, Carter. Sydney soon also meets Penn and Oliver, and even starts receiving texts from an anonymous friend.
All three men start to realize that they *each* want her, and she wants ALL of them, too. And they all have…uhm….some interesting kinks 🌶️👀
My only wish is that we had more time to get to know the guys and their back stories so I connect to them more like I was able to with Sydney.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check the TWs for this as a lot of possibly triggering mental health topics are covered.
**thank you valentine PR for the ARC!!

Saturn Maeve’s debut novel!
Raelyn, Marlowe and Phoebe have all had some challenges through their life but are working though it all with each others help and support. Saturn did a wonderful job at shining light and bringing awareness to such tough topics with their mental health and trauma.
Such a great book to read for pride!
Thank you to Saturn for the arc!

“A love story that has only just begun, with the best parts still left to be written.”
SO so so much love for Ellie and Rafa.
tropes:
- nanny x single dad
- Billionaire
- Small town
- Grumpy x sunshine
Talk about a SLOW BURN but their chemistry is there from the very beginning. The forbidden touches, stolen glances, UGH, so good.
As things start to progress, it becomes more apparent that neither Elle or Rafa have had an “easy” or a “simple” life and they both are absolute fighters and love each other whole-heartedly, cracks and messy and all. PS - Nico is so adorable, I just can’t.
“All I see is someone who chose to live. Someone who chose to keep fighting, even when they had reason to give up. Someone who turned their scars into shooting stars. You’re a warrior, Elle.”
Lauren never fails to cover such heavy and difficult topics with grace — as someone who previously struggled with SH for many years, it’s apparent how much time and thought went into the characters interactions regarding it and especially when having to address her scars with Nico 🤍
Thank you Lauren & Valentine PR for the ARC 🩷

We LOVE a modern day small town Cinderella retelling 💜
And Sam KNOCKED it out of the park!
We are introduced to Wesley and Celeste as kids when Wes is new to Rivers Run, Georgia, and being able to watch their friendship flourish as they grew up made my heart so, so happy. They were truly each other’s safe space and were there for each other when they needed it the most.
At least until they couldn’t be.
All because of Celeste’s step-mother and Wesley’s father.
This book will take you on a ROLLERCOASTER of emotions, I cried, squealed, gasped, and laughed. But I knew I needed to just **trust the process** that Celeste would get the love and the life that she truly deserved.
Sam does an amazing job at building the town and truly making you feel like you’re IN their world. And OMG!!! there’s going to be a book 2!!!

Anson is a grumpy, ex-profiler who’s just trying to fly under the radar in Sparrow Falls and work for his best friends construction business. That is, until they take on their next project which happens to be renovating Rhodes childhood home which was destroyed years ago in a fire.
They both are extremely guarded and shut off but as he starts spending more time around Rhodes, they slowly begin to open up about their pasts and their chemistry is so strong right away.
