Definitely wished I enjoyed this more. While there were some hilarious moments with Joey and her family, the romance portion just sort of fell flat for me. Toss in the issues between Shane and his dad and....idk it just didn’t work for me, but I’m so glad other readers enjoyed it.

3.5 rounded up because this was a fun time. Santa is really out here spreading cheer and a few other adult things lol

How Katrina Jackson managed to make one of the most annoying romance tropes in life endearing I have no idea. Usually I can't stand the miscommunication trope that happens in romance because HELLOOOOO WE'RE ALL ADULTS HAVE A CONVERSATION, but alas, here I am stanning this book. Were Candace and Ezra frustrating? Absolutely! But it's clear to anyone within a 400 ft radius that they belong together and reading their story through New Years eve over the years just had me all in my feelings. Also, it was spicy and we love that.
