I remember trying to read the original version of this a few years ago and not getting into it like I thought. It probably just want a good time to attempt. Idk, but I definitely enjoyed the graphic novel! The illustrations were great, just the right amount of creepiness mixed in and the Egyptian gods? *chef’s kiss*
I'm not going to rate this because I'm DNF at 11%. I just couldn't get into it. It may have been because I had the audiobook, but the beginning was very mundane for me. I'm still going to check out some of the author's other work though.
This shit is getting wild!!! Lori is being annoying, the inmates there in a twist I wasn’t expecting and Tyreese...TYREESE IS DEFYING THE ODDS
So I wanted to read this because even though I’ve only made it to like season 3 or 4 of The Walking Dead, it’s a show that I really enjoy and I wanted to see how it played out in comic form. Definite gore and there are some differences. A wild read whether you’ve watched the show or not in my opinion.
I did not enjoy this one as much as the others. When it came to the plot lines involving women the thought process was...questionable to say the least. I’m going to keep reading to see what happens and the other events were compelling, but I did not like what was done with Michonne’s introduction to the group of how the women in the group were portrayed overall in this volume.
I had a very hard time getting into this so I'm DNFing. I made it about 30 percent in. I know this is a very popular series, so maybe I'll try again, but for right now, I'm not very interested.
Shirley Jackson’s story of Hill House took a turn that I didn’t expect. I need time to process before I write my full review, but the one question that comes to mind is “Did Hill House haunt Eleanor or was Eleanor haunting Hill House?”
