After reading Beach Read I think I can appreciate Emily Henry's writing more, particularly the witty banter between the two main characters. I loved the story and the snippets of vacations from the past, and I feel like I could relate to both Alex and Poppy. This definitely sustains my current friends to lovers infatuation :)

I found the audio book hard to get into and to relate to the characters. Also i really didn't like the texting, and how they had each other saved as their full names, i think that was a pet peeve for me. However towards the end I think the messages were really important and the characters started to come into their own. 

It was a bit slow in the middle, but I love Austen's way of writing, particularly the long paragraphs some might say are too lengthy! There was also a discussion on gender and emotions towards the end which I particularly enjoyed. Glad I finally picked up my copy after two years!

A little bizarre but I liked the discussions on human existence and the slight humour jabs. I would've given it a higher rating if I understood more of the plot, particularly some of the other POVs.

Just as good as the last time I read it, but I think I have more of an appreciation of Madeline Miller's writing after reading Circe. It gives a quiet and lyrical ambiance despite the war conflicts later on. I really loved it! 

It was very boring to read, many long winded passages
