i loved this way more than normal people

emily henry ruining other romance books for me yet again 
one thing i love about her books is that it’s not just romance but also includes other forms of love, between your family but also love of self. my only gripe was that the first few chapters set the plot loving very quickly

the characters were very underdeveloped, with the love interest being very bland and the mc constantly referring to herself as an 'asshole', which i found quite weird
a cute enough read with nothing much going on but way too long chapters

it’s got sapphics, it’s got sisterhood, it’s got wedding hijinks, what more could you want? also i really like how they flipped the heteronormative tropes on its head with sisters best friend and single mothers 

one of the best standalaone fantasies i've read, and coming from the person who dnf'd an enchantment of ravens. 

The perfect summer romance <3

I almost DNF'd because the love interest goes to BYU. A lot of Mormon info-dumping, but it has it's cute moments. 

To say this is just a hesit book would be a severe understatement. It's a poem, to art and culture and family, the desire to belong to two different worlds and what it means when you do. It's a love letter to finding your roots in your family and growing new ones, about the heavy meaning of art and who it belongs to. This book is honestly art itself and it made me fall back in love with reading.
