Not my cup of tea... I enjoyed the crime mystery solving of this book but didn't really care for the inception style mind hopping. I listened to this as an audio but think I would've preferred to read it myself.
What if the future wasn't what we thought it to be? This is absolutely a must read classic. First published in 1895 this book must have been truly groundbreaking. While it doesn't read 100% like a modern book, it's pretty damn close to it. Wells proposes an entirely different idea of what the future may contain beyond the flying cars and technological advances.
I cannot describe this book. I cannot give it enough praise. I want to read the entire thing again immediately. Every single word had me captivated. Cliff hanger? Try cave hanger? Every detail is perfect. Every emotion is portrayed is such vivid detail. I laughed, I cried. I felt every emotion physically possible. Who knew caving could do this to a person?!
This book hurt my brain. Once you get into it, it's fine. I had to read it in long sittings as it takes a long time to figure out what's going on. I enjoyed the actual story despite it being an uncomfortable read.
A wonderfully composed book covering every possible detail and discoveries made as a result of one happy little accident by 18 year old William Perkins. This book is truly eye opening and has refreshed my enthusiasm for chemistry. I would highly recommend to anyone with an interest in the history or science.
A true page turner and significantly better than the games. No time is wasted in this book and every minute (quite literally) counts. Ezio's development throughout the book makes for a truely gripping storyline without giving too much away until the last few pages. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series!
Everything is coming together... new secrets are being uncovered. I'm still absolutely hooked despite the considerable amount of time it took me to finish this. I'm ready to find out where Çeda's path takes her next!
