I picked this book up on whim and I adored it from page one. I am not always the used to adult fantasy but this book captured me from page one. It was such a easy book to digest and that is largely thanks to young lead only 8 years old. Owen was the prefect point of view to explore this new world and i loved it. Jeff was also able to find ways to develop this world throughout this read and I grew to love this world and these characters. It was such a special read, I loved it. I found this read to be so charming an I also loved the world that was built that book had so many unexpected twists and turn that kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to read book 2 soon. This is a great read for someone is hoping to dive into more adult fantsay reads but they scare them. I found owen POV to be so easy to read from.

I struggled a little bit with this read. I really enjoyed the characters and the world building but I struggle with the writing style and how this story was told. It was a book that kept me guessing but It was not a book that plot engaged me. I thought the wold was super fun and hope in future books this world gets fleshed out this world. I did not feel super connected to these characters and felt like the world was not fleshed out as much as i wanted to. I wanted to love it but I did not. I will still give book 2 another chance and just hope i grow to love the character and the world building.

I really wound up liking this book. I thought this book was such a fun read. I thought this book was such a fun read with some strong elements of both goblet of fire and fable haven. It also though this book tackled harder topics like sexism and channeling expected roles. I thought this book had such a strong family presence as well, which is rare in middle grade. I thought this world building was so we'll crafted and really loved it. I will def read more in this series.

I really loved this book alot. I normally adore any stories that have twins and this book hit my sweat spot. I also loved the characters and how we got all of anders POV. I loved the mythology and the world building of this book so much. I also really loved the presence of the school in this novel and also the plot. The plot was a slow burn and the the pacing could have been cleaner especially towards the end. But I really loved this story so much and Amie really crafted a fun world but also a fun world! I will def be tuning in for book 2 :) I would rec. you read this book if you are a fan of percy jackson and fire blood.

I really wound up loving this book.I have been a large fan of the land of stories series. I really enjoyed this as a prequel series and all the fam faces we met. I loved the magic school element and also loved how this book focused on found family. I also thoughts this book tackled so harder topics like poltics, and prejudices and really had a hard time putting this book down. I found the small group of characters so fun. I loved the unexpected twists and turns and loved the writing styles and the world building. I am dying for book 2!

I thought this was such a fun read. I really liked how it took greek mythology and turned it on its head. I think this book really had some fun moments but also taught a very popular greek myth in such a fun read. I think the ilusatation are really good at showcasing the action scenes. I also liked how the characters were very like their "greek gods"both in their relationships and their behavior. Def a fun series and one that i would rec to kids who are reading percy jackson or almost ready to start that series. Such a fun mythology adventure.

I found this book to be such a refreshing read. I thought this book was prefect mix between science fiction and dystopian. I also really loved the tag line "could their love of books and pop music save th world" I really loved the focus on those two topics. I also really enjoyed the two characters in this story. I thought the pacing was strong but some of the world building could have been clear. This is a clear starting book in a series. I found the world to be so fun cause it pulled from our world so much and honors both the love of books and music. I thought the end could have been less rushed but I am super excited for book 2.

I really do love diving into this quicker reads. I read the baby-sitters books so long ago. but i thought this book was very fun and heartwarming and it tackled some harder issues including grandparents getting older and also complicated sisters relationships and it was rather fun read. I always love the graphic style and also the focus on their summer business plan. It was a fun read, will try and tackle them more in the future.

I found this book to be such a fun read featuring belle and the beast. I really enjoyed the questions that i tackled. I really loved how this book expanded the world and delved in more about belle parents past. I loved the part of the book the focused on the parents. I wish that part had been expanded a tad. If you are looking for sltherian themed romance book then this is the romance and story for you. I also thought this was another solid standalone read that really captured me from page 1. I loved being in Alessandra head. I loved how this book had so much sexual posiivity for girl characters. I also really did like the romance. The mysteries where hard to figure out but so rewarding. I only wish the ending did not feel as rushed and would have loved this even more if we got both characters POV. I was super happy with this read. I also wish the magic system was a bit more expanded but in the end i have never read a lead like Alessandra before and enjoyed that.
