I really did wind up enjoying this book. I wound up listening to the audiobook and found it to be super fast pace read. I really did love the setting in the book and also the winter setting in this book. I felt that because this a second book in the series, I felt much more connected to the characters and the plot in this read. I really enjoyed how the parents had much more active role in this book and this book had some really creepy and eerie elements, I would rec this as a fall read for sure. This book def was more my style over book one and I really enjoyed the winter themed setting and will be really exited to dive into the other books in this series as well.

* I got this book for review from the publisher*

This book was so awesome. I def enjoyed the second book in this series more then book one. I thought the female friendships and dynamics were more engaging them book 1 and the mystery easily captured my attention and shocked me. I normally can predict books easily but this book really surprised me and I am now dying to re-read this series to pick up on the plot. I really did like the characters paths through this book. The mystery and how it was crafted was a series highlight and I loved the ending of this book and would def read more by this author in this future and hope for more books set in this world.

I really wanted to adore this book. I overall was interested in the characters and the world building. But I just did not feel super connected to the characters. The plot was super lush but at moments it became hard to follow. I really did like the pacing in the chapters but thought the pace of the book overall was not as strong as I wanted. I really was excited about the world building and love the author take not he world but the book did not wow me. I will still check out book 2, and prob re-read the book at some point.

I really loved going to back to this world and these characters. I really did like how this book focused on a different problem and different science theme. I really did loved the focus on the friendship between the girls. I think this book had several different mini storylines and due to that there was so pacing and plot issues. I really enjoyed the focus on science and also solving problems. I still think the art style is a highlight of this read and I will def be reading the future books in this series in the future.

I have finally finished the monster read. I really did enjoy this series a lot. I sometimes struggled with this series because of the massive cast size. But I really found his book to such a great conclusion to this series. I will admit the end of this book brought me to tears but it also had some super funny moments. The pacing in the center of this book did drag a bit but overall, this book was such a joy to read and I feel like it gave the ends of the characters that they needed. I really did love this series, and hope we get more in this world in the future.

* I got this book for review and would give it 4.75 for review*

I really adored this book. I found his book to be the prefect fall read. I really enjoyed both the large cast of characters and how how these characters were painted as being shades of grey and not just good and evil. I really also enjoyed the plot and the unexpected twists that this book showed and occurred. I also really was enjoyed the world building and the magic system that was crafted. I also really enjoyed the duel POV in this book. I also really enjoyed the historical fiction time period of this book. I wish the end was a bit rushed and then cliffhanger left me with so many questions and I need book 2!!

*I got this book for review for my honest thoughts*

I really did like this middle grade read. I really did love the dynamics between the siblings made the book such a fun read. I also loved how she crafted time travel overall. The plot was sometimes hard to follow and I sometimes was confused about what time period we were in but overall it was super fun adventure story that pulled a lot from real history that I really enjoyed. I found the book plot to be not as smooth as want and wanted it do more direct but I did grow to love the characters and I adored the settings in this read.

*I got this book for review and wind up giving it 4.75 stars*

I really adored this read. I found the duel POV to super compelling. I loved how this book changed it structure throughout the book to not only expand that characters we met but also expanded the world that we were in. I really did love the sisters in this novel. I thought the world building in this book was a strong highlight of this read. I felt that for a majority of this book the plot was strong and clear and really had a hard time putting the book down. I was equally invested in both POV. I felt the ending of this book was a bit rushed and I just wanted more out of the end. I found this book to such sweeping story and really hope we get more books in this series.

I was super helpful to read this book before I dived back into the main books in this series. I found the first novella about the young queens to be the more engaging story. I really loved the background history that was given and loved seeing the young sister dynamics. I found the second story to be less compelling and less engaging. I felt like the story was because it had a been explained was less compelling and just less interesting. I was happy for that story information but it did not wow me.

This book is hard to review for me. If I am rating the characters and the first half of the novel, I would give this book a strong four stars. I was really fond of the character and the plot throughout the first half of the book. This book was so laugh out loud funny and I was really captured by the duel POV storytelling in this novel. I also really felt connected to the characters. However the last 100 pages of this novel threw me and I did not love it, I really struggled with the ending. I still am not sure how I feel, but I would give the ending two stars. So I struggled to rate it! But it was a fast pace read for the most part and very funny!
