I would give this book 3.5 stars*
I thought this was a super fast pace mystery that really hooked me. It def reminds me lot of both 13reasons why and pretty little liars. The mystery kept me engaged. I had a hard time becoming emotional invested in most of majority of these characters because so many of them were unlikeable especially the lead. But the mystery kept me so engaged. I thought the actions of the police made me so angry but I guess I could see that happens in real life at points. I do see the theme "every action has a consquence even if you don't notice the very similar to shows like 13 reasons why. I would def read more by this author in the future.

This was such a fun read! It was such a joy to read. I really loved the world building and did not feel overwhelmed which sometimes happens in science fiction novels. I loved the focus on the male lead but also the various other POV we were exposed to. I loved that the story really felt like complete story but I am still curious for more especially with this characters. It was just a fun adventure and I thought it was a rather face pace novel. I def want a book 2!
This book was such a fun suprise. It was such a solid standalone. I really enjoyed both the characters and the plot. I think I would have been more invested in the characters if i spent more time with them but it still made a impact on me. I loved how reality and the supernatural met and the POV of Dee. I thought the world buidling was so easy to understand and it was hard to put down. If you enjoy tv shows like Buffy or teen wolf or books like the Mortal instruments, i think you would enjoy this standalone book!
This book was such a fun read and I really flew through it! It was such a fun thriller. I normally loved books about teen spies and this book was prob the most realastic books of them I have read recently. I like the POC lead in this story but also how it was not the "focus" of the story. I thought the story was such fast pace advenure. I loved all the various twists and and turns. I really loved the lead character a lot. I would love to see sequel one day :)
This was such a fun adventure novel. I really loved the play your formate in this book. I am not the biggest gamer in the world. But I did enjoy both versions of the story. I think i prefer the Crypt Quest verison of this story. It was not as easy "to win" your story but it really fast read! I rec. this book for younger kids who don't read often but enjoy video games and this might but a fun read for them. I will def check out more books like this in this series in the future.
I really enjoyed the world building in the book. I loved the world. I thought the book at points near the start was predicable but towards the ending some of the plot stuff did surprise me. The characters were the stand out in this novel. I loved the various POV that we got. I loved Will as a lead and am super excited to see book 2! It was a fast pace read!
This is my second time reading this book. Steph remains me favorite character in this series. So many things of this book suprised me but I loved it. I thought this book was darker then book one and it was very intense. I thought this world building was done so well. I just loved seeing how Steph grew throughout his novel and also a new note how strong the female characters were in this novel. I really can't remember much of book 3, so i am excited to read that book next! I will say this again if you are looking for good foundational magic/ fantasy series, this is great series!
I will admit this was just not my favorite collection. I read all the stories of authors that i knew but did not read the final four stories. I thought some of them were fun but it was so hard to become emotionally invested in these short stories. I love a good slow burn romance and all of these I had to be invested from page one and these stories did not give me time to fall in love with these characters or choose a side. I will def. be reading more full length novels by this authors soon.
I wish i would have physically read the first book in this series because some of the world building flew over my head. But i really did love all of these characters so much. I def became super invested towards the end of the book. I can't wait to learn more about this characters. I really can't choose a favorite character but I loved the interaconnections between the lead characters. I loved the world alot and hope the next books expand on it!
This was such a fast pace mystery that had me hooked from page one. I loved the main character and how strong willed she was. I loved the complex plot and the various twists and turns that this story took. It was so hard to predict and I loved every second of it. I love Italy BEING the setting of this book so much and it made me feel like I was there. I had such a hard time putting his book down. I loved the crew that we were introduced to in this book and really can't wait to read book 2 :)
