I enjoyed this book veeeery much.
It reads fluently, I constantly wanted to read more.
It was also very refreshing/confronting to read from the abuser’s perspective. He has this twisted logic that for him, makes up for all the stuff he does.
The last few chapters were very thrilling. The way it’s written contributes to that; you get short passages in the abuser’s view and short passages in Katie’s view. That was really well written.
The only negative thing, was sometimes there were sentenced that didn’t seem to make sense? The sentences were also very short.

I really loved this book. The story was great, but the writing was even greater.
All the little nuances gives the book so much depth.
And omg, Lily is such a great and powerful woman. I loved her too. I could totally understand how she felt about Ryle, just by the writing. Just as her, I was in love with him from the beginning and I totally understood her mixed feelings (understatement of the year) near the end, because I felt the same way.
This book was sooo great. I would really recommend this to everyone!

I don’t know if I liked this book. There were a lot of great characters (Sartaq and Borte!!) and the storyline was good, all though I felt like it took kinda long to get it started.
But I just don’t like Chaol. I don’t know exactly why, I just don’t like him.
The whole time I just wanted to know how and what’s going to happen with Aelin and Rowan and Manon and the rest in the Northern Continent.
I’m really excited about the next book though!!!

I still think the story of this book was great. I knew who Legend was (from my first read) and I don’t know how I didn’t see it last time... and I honestly had forgotten the ending, so that was a bit of a surprise (it came back to me right before the end tho).
I’m ready for Finale now and I’m very looking forward to it!!

The writing of this book was just as good as the first one. It read very fluently, there were some plottwists I didn’t see coming and it was exciting at the right times.
However, I didn’t like the story as much as I did with the first book. Maybe it’s because it’s in Tella’s perspective instead of Scarlett’s. Maybe because it’s just an entirely different story with new characters.
It felt a little less magical than Caraval.
But, I’m curious for Finale. I’m definitely going to read it. I want to know how it all ends.

I loved this book!!
I enjoyed it from the very first page until the very last. I even enjoyed the extra chapter in Legend’s perspective.
The story was sooo good. There was quite a lot of action, but also plenty (sometimes maybe even too much) of romance.
The ending was a little bit over the top for me. But I’m a sucker for good endings, so I liked that as well.
Also, Julian stays one of my favourite characters.

Wauw...
