I absolutely loved this collection of short stories and poems. It honestly felt like my experiences were written down for me.
This felt like sitting with my friends sharing stories about our experiences and challenges. I think it’s a great book to give to your daughters and friends.
This book has also helped me unlearn some of the things I had learnt about periods growing up.

Finally a book about periods that makes sense! This felt like a warm conversation between friends. Sharing each others experiences and traumas and laughing about what could be a really embarrassing situation.
So so great!
This is a must for all women and teens out there!

At a 173 pages long this short story has a lot to offer. I think the author has shown great skill by putting so much depth in a short story.
As the blurb explains, this story is about Suzie, a girl who suffers from schizophrenia. She is in college trying to get through but her illness makes it almost impossible for her.
The part I enjoyed and thought were written beautifully was the depiction of loneliness. Suzie has so many people around her who love her pretty much unconditionally. Everyone around her makes accommodations for her illness and yet, because she herself is so depressed and lost, she isn’t able to accept any of it.
The effects of drug abuse is depicted so clearly in this story that I felt like I was in the room with Suzie.
Where the story fell short for me was the entire last Vegas bit. Maybe if that was elaborated on and the characters developed more it would’ve had a bigger impact. The twist at the end felt needless and forced.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and Suzie will always be a character that I remember.
Thankyou to Kevin Landt for sending me his book for free in exchange for my honest opinion.
I look forward to reading more from this author.

With all the hype of this book I was expecting it to be my next favourite read but man this fell short. Now I’m left wondering whether that is because I had such high expectations.
This is a good thriller for someone just diving into the genre. The twists are a plenty but none of them had my jaw on the floor. Which has been true for all of Megan Miranda’s book for me.
The writing is top-notch and keeps your attention throughout. There were times when I felt like I missed something because the narrative jumps so much from situation to situation. So I would read again to find my answers.
Overall I think it’s a good in between book.

I would love to take a peak at Stuart’s process and just how he thinks because wow! Another totally completely mind bender of a book.
I don’t even know how he keeps all the plot points straight in his head let alone write them down for someone else to follow.
This is a really great dystopian story that has total black mirror vibe.

I read this book in one sitting and that should tell you how good and entertaining it is!
It has two POVs and two timelines, with short chapters and an amazing storyline.
It is SUCH an entertaining book that I felt like I was watching a movie in my head and all that was missing was popcorn!

This book is the definition of a slow burn. For better part of the book nothing more than what is written in the blurb happens. Which was so disappointing since it had started off with such promise!
The book takes us through the lives of four women, one of whom died in a tragic accident when they were in their twenties. The other three go on to become super rich by being super girl bosses. None of them are super likeable and I wouldn’t want to meet them in real life.
There is so much detail about the backstories and all the characters and I kept waiting for the whole ‘someone in the attic’ bit to really get good, but it never really does. I wanted to DNF it multiple times during the book but I wanted to know if I was right about who the perp is so I kept reading. It was annoying to find out that I was right, because I had guessed it about a hundred pages in.
It really wasn’t for me.

So often Muslim history is written in broad strokes. Either it is all about valiant, near perfect, infallible human beings or they are terrorists. Completely black and white.
It is rare that you find a historical fiction novel based in a Muslim society that narrates all the layers and complexities or human nature and all the different sects and manners of practicing religion. This book does all of that and then some!
The characters are very potent and you will find yourself wanting to follow them as they unravel not only the murder mystery but themselves in the process.
I honestly felt like I was there in Baghdad witnessing everything.
