Thank you to the author for sending me a gifted copy of Censorshipped by Savannah Scott. All opinions are my own.

Censorshipped is book four in the Getting Shipped! series but can be read as a standalone. After reading this book, I now want to read the rest of the series because it was so good!

Shannon, the main female character, was so much fun. I found her botched text messages hilarious, and I loved her job as a dance instructor.

Duke, the main male character, was so charming and confident. I loved his friendship with Shannon, and they had amazing chemistry. I also loved how good he was with kids.

One thing I appreciated was the way that they communicated. I wasn’t frustrated with miscommunication like I am with so many other romances because the characters actually talked to each other.

Also, I listened to this on audiobook, which I recommend! The story is told in dual point of views, so having the two narrators was really fun.

Overall, this book was so cute and had me giggling. I absolutely loved these characters and need to binge the rest of the series now. I definitely recommend it!

While I expected the main character to be unlikable, I didn’t expect all the other characters to be unlikable as well. It’s nice to see character growth for the main character, so I was okay in her being unlikable. However, I just can’t stay interested in a book if I don’t like any of the characters.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Audio for this ALC. All opinions are my own.

The Hurricane Wars by Thea Guanzon should be on your radar if you love romantasy. What an amazing debut by this author!

This book has such an interesting fantasy world, and I’m excited to learn even more in future books. The characters’ powers were cool, and I’m intrigued by the politics so far.

The tension between the main characters!!! I am so excited to see how this continues in future books because the slow build in this book was amazing.

I loved how well the author was able to get my emotions all over the place. One moment I was devastated, and the next I was laughing out loud.

I highly recommend this book!

Also, the narrator for the audiobook is great as well. If you listen to the audio, I would recommend having a print or digital copy to reference if you want to know how to spell the different names because I have no idea based off the audio (which just shows how well the narrator was able to pronounce names).

Flirtation or Faceoff by Leah Brunner is a charming, funny, and wholesome hockey romance. It is book two in the D.C. Eagles Hockey series but can be read as a standalone.

This book follows Colby, a former playboy hockey player, who’s a total sweetheart and Noel, a no-nonsense college professor who has a crush on a colleague.

Having read the first book in this series and loving it, I was excited to be back in this world of hockey players. I enjoyed how much the other players played a part in Colby and Noel’s story. They were a lot of fun, and I’m excited to read more about them in future books.

My favorite part of this book was Colby. He’s honestly so sweet and thoughtful. He was persistent with Noel without being creepy. I loved how charming he could be and how he kept calling Noel “Angel.”

Noel could be frustrating at times since I just couldn’t understand what she liked about her colleague, but overall, I did like her character. It was fun to see how well she and Colby balanced each other out.

Overall, I would recommend this book! If you like dating coaches, sports romances, swoony characters, Lord of the Rings and closed-door romances, I think you’d especially enjoy this book.

All’s Fair in Love and Christmas by Sarah Monzon is a heartwarming Christmas romance all about overcoming obstacles, stepping out of your comfort zone, and not passing judgment on people.

This book very much felt like a Christmas Hallmark movie (in all the best ways). It was not as predictable as a Hallmark movie, but it had the sweetness factor and typical Christmas traditions. I do feel like this book had a unique twist on the typical sweet Christmas book because of the difficult backstories and the main character with social anxiety.

I liked how faith was included in this story in a natural way. The main guy character was a total sweetheart and so patient with the main female character despite how hard social interactions were for her.

While this book might not be the most memorable story for me, I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and sweet Christmas story to read this winter.
