I was instantly sold on this book by cover alone, after reading the synopsis I had high hopes, and after beginning the novel, my hopes were quickly dashed. I pushed myself as far as I could, but ending up DNF-ing around 60%. There were far too many things I disliked and not enough things I liked that I just couldn't bring myself to continue. Shame, I really thought this one had potential. That old saying, never judge a book by its cover, is definitely true with this one for me.

This book wasn't necessarily bad, but its POC representation was truly lacking and there was a huge opportunity missed. All in all, I was overly disappointed with this book. Wouldn't recommend.

I liked the cover for this book and was interested in the synopsis. I just couldn’t strike a chord with this book. Noni is out to seek pleasure for herself and grabs life and sex with gusto. I just couldn’t relate to the story and found too many parts of the book just hitting the wrong chord with me. I’m sure it will be appealing to many readers, but this book wasn't one I'd see myself recommending.
