I’ll say it over and over again for each one of these volumes, I love the art style of Toboso ❤️ This was definitely a more action packed volume and I loved the gore ✨ I’m happy I decided to finally start this series

Not gonna lie this manga had so many similarities to Kamisama Kiss it felt like I was reading a knock-off Tomoe & Nanami lol
But if you like the thought of a super fast-paced Kamisama Kiss style manga with a demon fox and a healer of sorts then definitely check it out!!

This is a manga that takes place in a high school setting following Taisuke, his sister Youko, and his friends Hirose and Megumi. A virus of sorts is spreading around across the world leaving those infected to commit suicide. Taisuke is one of the main characters to first see death up close and let’s just say it hits him pretty hard. A lot more things happened in this volume that I don’t want to spoil, but I’ll definitely be continuing this series! I do love the art style of this older manga too!

This is another Hades & Persephone retelling, however the original story and demeanor of Hades and Persephone are scrapped. The relationship between Demeter and Persephone are the same, so in A Touch of Darkness, Demeter tries to restrain Persephone from contact with anybody outside of her. In this urban setting, Persephone is in college and an intern at a press and eventually comes into contact with Hades through his night club.
I see everybody talk about Persephone being horny on main for Hades, but let's be honest Hades is a simp and just as horny lmao This is a major fated lovers trope with steamy scenes.
I do think Persephone could have been a little less dense about Hades feelings towards her but some times I can I understand why she acted like that when all she knows is mistrust and lies she's been fed throughout her life. Overall, I really enjoyed this (I finished it overnight lol) and I'll be continuing the series both from Persephone and Hades' point of views.
I'd recommend this to somebody who wants to read an 18+ Hades x Persephone retelling with the fated lovers trope.

This volume is in the midst of the team battle of the Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event. Ultimately, you see the old heads wanting to eliminate Yuji anyway possible. Everybody is at each other’s throat in this one. The main objective of getting rid of curses is just out the window. Big things coming in the next volume tho ✨

I love the tidbits of back story of the Kyoto sister school students while they’re fighting and see why they act a certain way. There’s a lot of fight scenes and undoubtedly the fight scene with the special grade, Hanami, is definitely better animated. But I still loved in the manga too! Overall it’s just an action packed volume and learning about everybody’s techniques ❤️

This is Allen’s first mission after joining the Black Order, along with him is Kanda. They travel to a deserted area of Italy to find an innocence. Kanda is the broody, pessimistic pretty boy that opposes everything that Allen does lol I’m actually really enjoying this series, I love the art style and atmosphere of this gothic/supernatural manga. It can get super dark for a shonen and I like that about it too!

I read this for a buddy read on Instagram and it was on my physical tbr. I’m sad to say that it wasn’t as enjoyable as I thought it would be.
The most memorable stories are: The Mist, Cain Rose Up, The Jaunt, The Monkey, The Raft, Beachworld, Milkman 1&2, & Gramma.
I listened to the audiobook mostly and literally some stories went through one ear and out the other. I couldn’t tell you anything about it lol idk if I’ll ever reread or just reread the ones I know I liked listening to in the future
