This is another Hades & Persephone retelling, however the original story and demeanor of Hades and Persephone are scrapped. The relationship between Demeter and Persephone are the same, so in A Touch of Darkness, Demeter tries to restrain Persephone from contact with anybody outside of her. In this urban setting, Persephone is in college and an intern at a press and eventually comes into contact with Hades through his night club.

I see everybody talk about Persephone being horny on main for Hades, but let's be honest Hades is a simp and just as horny lmao This is a major fated lovers trope with steamy scenes.

I do think Persephone could have been a little less dense about Hades feelings towards her but some times I can I understand why she acted like that when all she knows is mistrust and lies she's been fed throughout her life. Overall, I really enjoyed this (I finished it overnight lol) and I'll be continuing the series both from Persephone and Hades' point of views.

I'd recommend this to somebody who wants to read an 18+ Hades x Persephone retelling with the fated lovers trope.
