This book made me infuriatingly mad! The author did such a good job of capturing the historical beliefs and the hysteria of witches and the devil. Excellent writing with so much detail. Even though it made me so mad it was truly trying to be as accurate as it could be about the Puritan beliefs at that time. Slow start but really picked up and I liked how she chose her ending. Seriously a fantastic book and perfect for Halloween. A little bit of reality and a whole lot of bewitchery.
In the beginning I was super confused however once I really got into it I could not put it down! Really really enjoyed where the book went had a lot of surprises and really tied everything in nicely!
This was so much fun! Had such a good time with this book. Loved the relationship between the main characters and their growth and love for each other. Highly recommend for a nice fast paced vampire comedy/morally ambiguous read.
This was interesting. Had a Romeo and Juliet vibe. Two witch family rivals, star crossed lovers, and murder plots. Overall a good read.
This was not my favorite of the series. Seemed like it was a lot of uneven pacing. Really action packed and then really slow. I felt that a lot of the characters were much more whiney and poor me poor me throughout the book. I did enjoy the words colliding and intertwining. She also sets it up for other books so fingers crossed. Overall it was a good read and a good end to this series….. for now hopefully.
Don’t get me wrong I can read all the smutty books but this just felt like it repeated the same theme over and over again. The basis wasn’t terrible, I liked the idea of the book. If I had to read “baby girl” one more time I was going to toss the computer I was reading off of. The ending felt anticlimactic I had hoped for more from Everlys character to as she seemed to be a part of it.
Unputdownable! Finished it in one sitting which hasn’t happened a lot to me recently and I’m usually bouncing between books but could not stop with this one once I started! Everytime I thought I guessed it, I was wrong! Really loved the main character! Seriously if you are thinking about reading it, DO IT!
LOVED! I loved everything about this book. The FMC is powerful and ripe for growth. The MMC is sullen and has potential for more. Could not get enough of these two. Made me feel all the emotions and I definitely cried, audibly gasped, and wanted to throw the kindle a few times. Seriously, read it.
The book I never knew I needed. This takes you into the world of Practical Magic before Sally and Gillian. It gives you Jet, Franny, and Vincent. Was so magical to learn about the aunts. Their trials, their loss, and their growth. Super sad at times but also heartwarming! Glad I decided to read it.
This may be one of the rare instances where I enjoyed the movie more than the book. Not to say I didn’t love the book as I did rate it 4.5 stars. I found myself to be so frustrated with Antonia, Sally, and Gillian a lot of the time. However, it was still magical, heart breaking, and very much a find yourself type of book.
