The Elephant In the Room is a charming and interesting book that reads super quick.

I really liked all of the characters and atmosphere. It's a beautiful story about family, friendship and hope.
A great read that I would recommend to readers of all ages.

This book tackled some very important topics, and I really enjoyed that. I've loved this authors work before and went into this with high expectations.
However, it didn't completely work for me. Mostly, I didn't love the catphishing storyline. I also just found Liam's character to be a little flat. We spent a lot of time with other people and on other storyline, that I didn't feel like I knew much about him or their real life connection.

I did enjoy a lot of it, but overall it was just OK.

This book was definitely informative and full of interesting information about the forests that used to cover London.
However, I personally also found it quite slow and heavy going when it came to some of the more fact and figure sections.
I definitely think this book will appeal to a lot of people.

Refugee Boy follows a young boy called Alem who arrives in the UK for what he thinks is a holiday with his father, but he is then left behind which triggers an immigration procedure. 

I enjoyed this book. I thought the characters were well developed and the emotions were portrayed well. It dealt with Elem adjusting to this new and unexpected life, and showed the hardships with honesty.
