This is a really great second installment to the Renegades trilogy. I’m really glad we got to explore more of Nova and Adrian’s stories and development of characters. I’m looking forward to the conclusion!
This book is SO HILARIOUS. I laughed out loud several times over the course of reading this book. It handles the topic of religion and atheism very well, while also making very valid points. I can’t believe it took me this long to finally read it, but I’m so glad I did.
This was intriguing but I wanted more from it. I’m contemplating continuing with the series.

Re-Read (2022): Welp. I forgot just how absolutely heartbreaking this book is.
First Read: I am so upset with myself that it took me this long to read A Torch Against The Night. This book is dark, gut-wrenching, and artfully woven together. There are twists and turns in here that you will not see coming, and the ending is a great set up for A Reaper at the Gates.

⭐️3.5⭐️ A really cute contemporary retelling of Cinderella. My main qualm with this book is that the main girl Danielle has a serious case of “I’m Not Like Other Girls” syndrome for a lot of the book which is just...very irksome and not necessary at all.
Really awesome short stories collection. I discovered a lot of new-to-me authors that I will be checking out. Definitely a must-read!
⭐️4.5⭐️ Absolutely incredible. Everyone should read this book and then lend it to a friend. The main character asks such provoking questions and really explores intricate and complex issues. I’m looking forward to reading more from Nic Stone.
⭐️4.5⭐️ I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their development over time in the book. This makes me excited to read more by Jennifer Niven.
⭐️4.5⭐️ SO SO SO GOOD. The poetry is spectacular and the plot is even better. This book is gut-wrenching, riveting, and so timely. I am excited for whatever else Elizabeth Acevedo writes!
