- Arranged Marriage
- Black FMC & MMC
- FMC is a trained assassin, strong willed, independent
-MMC is the heir to the mafia, protective of his wife, very much touch her & ☠️ vibes.

This was my first time reading a mafia romance with black characters & I can definitely tell the difference. This book was very much pro black & was giving all the vibes (for example: he took her heels off, massaged her feet, and then put her on some high top Jordans). I loved everything about this book. I especially loved how Enzo was protective of Lucia but also let her be who she is. He didn’t try to change her, her occupation, or her mission, but at the same time he let her know that he has her back & will protect her to all extents. I especially loved how bad a.. Lucia was she was independent & strong & everything I’ve been missing in a FMC in other mafia books I’ve read.

This was a great ending to the dark kingdom series. This book was about Bones who was taught by his dad to be a leader & to basically think with his brain & not his lower head (if you catch my drift) & to also not fall in love & to always put the business first. Getting the back story on that kind of explains why bones was the last one to settle down but anyway…..Bones meets Mia via a favor for Luca (who kinda disappointed me in this book. I feel like he should’ve been more of a big brother to Mia) I’m not going to say any spoilers but the things that Mia goes through was definitely traumatizing & she basically had no one to protect her, choose her, love her, and all the things. She literally had no friends & the love she felt when she first hung out with all the girls made me feel bad for her. I think bones was the perfect person for Mia. He chose her, loved her, protected her, unalived for her. Their story was beautiful. But also something that was unexpected in this book was the update on Graves addiction there’s a scene between Graves & Bones that literally had tears in my eyes because of the struggle graves endured but also the aspect of their relationship.

In this book… there’s more spice then the first book, you find out a little bit more of information about the people that had Scarlett(i.e. their names & powerful friends/connections), there’s some character development as well & honestly the entire book is a super slow burn plot wise but at the 98% mark stuff hits the fan & makes me feel as though things will pickup in the next book.

This is a RH & This book is basically an extended introduction of the characters that’s in the relationship & 1 side character. There are a lot of holes & you will not get ANY answers to any questions which I guess is expected because this is just book 1 of 4. This book was spicy(3 🌶️) of course but for me the book was more suspenseful/mystery type vibe. The only reason I didn’t give the book more ⭐️ is simply because this is just book one & nothing drastic or really exciting happened like I said it’s basically an introduction to what’s possibly to come in the next 3 books
funny lighthearted medium-paced

i ABSOLUTELY loved Kage’s personality it made the book more funny. I also loved how there were plenty of opportunities for messy drama to occur & instead of the author letting it play out the author kind of ignored it. The transition & real depiction of how COVID effected people no matter there occupation was a nice touch as well. overall I loved this book

OMG!! This book made me cry, laugh, feel the tingles, everything 😍🥰 The sass & spunk that Abigail had in the beginning was so funny. but also the way that she was able to recognize that her trauma stole her light & changed who she was was perfect. & don’t get me started on Nikolai 🥰 It took him a little while to warm up to Abigail but when he did it was no stopping him. I LOVE this book.
