I am back in the world of the Glories and I am finally intrigued again to continue on. Volume 3 was my least favorite so it was hard to pick this one up. It took about half way for it to pick up again, but I'm glad I made it through. Since we are dealing with time travel it does a lot of jumping back and forth and was chopping at points but, everything came together and was a good ending to "Season 1."

This volume follows Batgirl and Night-wing as they team up. This was so cute! I love the relationship between Dick and Barbara. You can feel the friendship and love they have for one another. They are trying to stay friends, but they clearly have feeling for each other and are trying not to cross the line. The relationship is relatable and believable. Also easy to forget that even though they are superheroes they are still human and young adults.
Interesting concept about lying being the ultimate crime, but it moved too slow for me. The plot drags until the last 50-75 pages of the book. I had issues with the language of the book, how a mentally ill woman was treated, and the plot itself.
In this first volume, we follow Red who has set out to be the best Pokémon trainer. On his journey he meets new people, makes friends and enemies, battle in gyms to earn badges, and tries to catch all the Pokémon.
This was a pleasant surprise on how it's different from the TV series, but I've read that it is more similar to the video games. I enjoyed that it was a different story and not just the TV series in book form. It does have similarities but does differ with the adventures Red has as well. I had much fun reading this and a much needed, wrap me in a blanket, nostalgia feeling.
