This is my favorite one so far!

As their search for Glendower continues, they find someone else instead and we are introduced to a couple more people that I was so intrigued to learn more about.

The character development every book get better and better and Maggie's writing is so descriptive I got lost in the book and felt I was right there with Blue and the Boys. There is such a great balance of character development, world building, and plot development that I loved.

This wasn’t the strongest volume. It felt rushed and lacked some of the character development the others had. There is a plot about the main characters “liking” each other, but they dont come back to it and feels forced and a throw away.

It was great to get more about Damian and Jonathan as Robin and Superboy. I love their friendship and their banter they have, but the plot was just okay and the villians origin story was unoriginal and not strong.

Consent is a very important topic, but this graphic novel did not address it in a great way.

The writing was clunky and all over the place. It felt like the author was just jam packing all the information and didn't flow it together as a cohesive plot.

(I received a free copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.)

This book was way too long and took me a while to get through. The plot dragged too much and the past and present back and forth point of view didn't feel complete. It could have been 100 pages shorter and condensed so that the whole book did not feel like exposition and back story.

Actual Rating: 3.5 stars

I felt that this was the perfect holiday read. It was a quick fast paced, fun easy read.

The story was a cute fluffy winter contemporary, but didn't feel there was a lot of substance for the story. It had the makings of everything I loved: New York City, two people falling in love, and Christmas, but it fell flat in the story and I ended up just feeling like it was an okay read.

I had some minor issues with the characters, but would recommend to anyone who is needing a quick holiday/snow day/raining day read.

It was predictable, but a cute fluffy Christmas read.

It wasn't anything spectacular, but was enjoyable, warm, and the perfect romantic holiday read.

The Reading Rush Read 1 Complete

This is the next volume in the Rebirth run. This was the weakest one so far. I felt that the writing wasn't very strong and the plot felt out of place from the previous volumes..

This was just okay for me. I love that it’s own voices and diverse. I had issues with the pacing and some of the structure of the chapters. They would end in weird places and wouldn’t always fee complete. It’s a cute romance, but does have some issues and is a little clique.
