A great science fiction classic that breaks your heart as you follow Charlie’s progression from “low IQ” to genius and the struggles that come with both.

Sam Humphries is doing a great job writing the new characters and showing that even though they are superheroes they are still relatable humans with flaws.

A heart wrenching novel about a lithuania girl who gets taken by Soviet soliders along with her mother and brother during 1941. It follows them as they are forced into work camps and their fight to stay strong and survive.

3.5 Stars. Loved the writing and the setting, but felt the plot was a little lackluster and had a slow start

The next volume in the manga series that is inspired by the game. Great read if you are a fan of the game, or if you just know of the game and want to learn more.

This second and last volume was not as great as the first one. The plot felt rushed and a little all over the place. Great seeing strong female centered stories, but the plot was just okay.

3.5 Stars. Writer switched to Tim Seeley, but the consistency of the writing style is still there. Jessica’s anxiety is featured more here. Not the strongest volume, but still enjoyable.

The Big Sleep is a classic novel that follows PI, Philip Marlowe. He is hired to find a missing person and has to solve a couple murders along the way.

I enjoyed it, but felt that the author spent too much time on description and I wanted more action.

So upset that it took me this long to finally read The Raven Boys, but glad I finally did.

I loved it. It did have a couple moments where it dragged for me which is the only reason it isn’t a five star read.

Can’t wait to pick up the rest of the series.

Book Two of the Raven Cycle was as interesting and hard to describe as the first one. It follows Blue and the “Raven Boys” as they learn more secrets and continue their quest.
