Wasn’t a huge fan of the writing style. I will probably try it on audio at some point.

I know it’s a novella, but the self-flagellation was too much for me. His guilt and jealousy could have been avoided with just a bit of communication vs. constant fucking (not that it wasn’t hot!). Love that there was a hopeful note, however!

Edit: Also, I understand and respect the desire to check in with your partner during role play/rough sex, but there also has to be some level of trust that said partner will let you know if it gets to be too much. So I 100% understood Poppy’s frustration there!

What a ride! Truthfully, I loved everything about book. Most of the twists I never saw coming. Honestly, I think I need to reread it at some point just to see things I know I missed. Highly recommend!

It was interesting, but I felt like there was almost too much jumping forward and backward in history to compare serial killers. It was definitely well-researched and has made me interested in picking up more on the subject.

I enjoyed this one so much! Olivia was a fantastic MC and Kate was her match in every way. Olivia grew as a character so much throughout the book, with herself, friends, mom, and of course, Kate. I wish that there were two different narrators for the dual POV, especially since perspective would shift in the middle of chapters and it always took me a minute to figure out whose POV I was listening to. The narrator was great, though. Also, I so hope the ending was foreshadowing for book 3!! 😍

What a sweet romance! Grumpy hockey player meets sunshiny gamer; there’s amnesia, acceptance of self, communication (once they figured each other out!), roommates to lovers, “secret identity”, fantastic side characters I can’t wait to read more about, and, best of all, no third act breakup! Dual POV w/ dual narration 💜
