This book was SO chaotic. I enjoyed the family business aspect, along with the Seattle setting. But the actual plot was a bit mid.
Spice was 5 stars
Plot was a 2....
I really enjoyed this but could have gone without all the Priest inner monologuing. Made me feel guilty lmao

I did not see myself rating this favorably until the last 1/3 of the book.
Helen is insufferable. Grant is insufferable. They deserve each other.
I didn't root for them until about 2/3 of the way in. It was the time elapsed and character growth that finally added some depth to the story. While trauma bonding over Michelle's death SEEMS to be deep enough, it isn't until they take the time to learn more about themselves and reexamine their lives, choices and relationships.
Maybe I'm just high but that really hit me in the feels.

The plot seemed spicy and entertaining but the execution was not the best. The dirty talk felt cringy and dare I say there was too much plot?!
