First half of this book- 1 star
Second half of this book- 3 stars
I feel like this book was about 250 pages too long. I have no idea why the intro/first half was so incredibly detailed. I was about to put it down when it finally got interesting around 56% in. I'm glad I read it, it's been on my shelf for ages. Quirky funny characters who all had depth. But I'm walking away from this feeling very "whelmed".

The summary made this book sound so interesting but I just can't say that I enjoyed this book. Sorry not sorry.
Giving this one 4.5/5 stars. It was an unexpected story, I had no idea what to think going into this, I just knew that it is massively popular. And now I know why!
Kind of predictable. The first half of the book was pretty slow. The characters are a bit hard to like. Perhaps I'm finally outgrowing YA books like this.
Okay I was skeptical at first. As a plus sized person in their 20's it seems like authors can't quite get us right when it comes to books. Always the fat sad friend who is grateful for attention from anyone, which is so not the case. The first half of this book had be rolling my eyes a few times but it also touched on a few points that I do think about as a fat person.
Anyways, part 2 took me by surprise, despite the many reviews who said the same. I really enjoyed this book, and I'm glad I hung in there to get to the twist.
I will state that I despised the audiobook narrator. She constantly mispronounced words that drove me bonkers. "Buddens" instead of buttons. "Forgodden" instead of forgotten. Small offense but it seriously got on my nerves. I might avoid other books narrated by her in the future.
