The Weight of Night exceeded all of my expectations! I loved it so much. I went into the book expecting to enjoy it but I quickly realized that I was loving the journey that Alexis was forced to go on. This book is about Mythology, which you probably know by now is one of my favorite things to read about.

The book begins with a bang! Something huge and tragic happens in Alexis' life and she is left not only to deal with this big event but also with the knowledge that she is something different. Within no time she is off on an epic adventure to get some answers, seek some revenge, and find someone important to her. Her quest reminded me of the Odyssey and like a slightly more mature version of Percy Jackson. (And that is high praise from me, because I LOVED Percy Jackson). I liked that Alexis was a kick butt first, ask questions later kind of gal. It suited her. I also thought it was super adorable that her conscience took the form of her best friend, Keats.

Keats is loyal and cute and would follow Alexis to the ends of the earth. I just swoon over this type of loyalty. He isn't some whipped puppy though- no he has no problem telling Alexis when she is being impulsive and stupid. They have a great friendship and I liked that for once, both of them knew what they had. No one took the other one for granted.

The best part of The weight of night are the quest style adventures. They go all over the country and the world and they meet all kinds of unique characters, and plenty of mythological figures, and progeny with awesome powers. If you like greek mythology this is a MUST READ! I loved how everything fit together, like an epic puzzle! I need to get my hands on the next book ASAP so I can see what will happen next.

This book blew my mind. I loved everything about it. I loved Aunt Sophia's scheming, manipulative but obviously caring ways. I loved the sexy fun that oozed out of Declan, and my oh my did I love the transformation that Grace underwent. This is a sexy, fun romance that will make you wish you could have the kind of life changing summer that Grace has. I need to go find myself a long lost great aunt Sophia!

Grace is a practical, smart, independent PhD student that thinks she has all the answers. She prides herself on being an independent woman, and maybe even a feminist. She is certainly opinionated and as Declan will say, "firey". I loved Grace's fire. I also loved that while she was super stubborn at first, eventually she opened herself up to the idea of change and the fact that maybe she doesn't have all the answers. And as soon as she did that things started to change for Grace. The best part of this book, is that it is so realistic. I could actually picture the story unfolding and playing out right before my eyes. It was so well written and crafted. It was a delight to read.

And speaking of delights, mmm I loved me some Declan. He sure did know how to get uptight Grace to loosen up and let go of some of her iron clad control. I loved watching the two of them interact.

I can't say enough good things about Great Aunt Sophia's Lessons for Bombshells. It is smart, sassy, romantic fun that I could not put down. I need to read another Lisa Cach book ASAP. I can't think of a single thing that I didn't enjoy about this book, and that is really saying something!

Fractured Light was such a joy to read. I have been on a pretty good book streak lately. I have enjoyed almost all of the books i've been reading for the past few weeks, and then I come across a book like Fractured Light and I'm like, "now this is a GREAT book". It makes me rethink those other books that I have been reading and liking that got 4 stars or so, because this one is just better. I loved the whole experience of reading Fractured Light. The world of Light just sucked me in, I was connected with all of the characters and I am super, duper excited to continue on in this series. There are books that you like, and then there are books that you love. I loved Fractured Light!

Llona is such a sweet girl. And that could be due to the light that she carries within her but I think it is more than that. I liked that Llona was sweet, but I LOVED her inner strength. I liked that she wasn't just like the other light out there (that we know of anyways). She isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. She is actually pretty fierce, and it was this spirit and determination in her that took her from a cool character to a great character.

Christian is nice and super serious when it comes to protecting Llona. I pretty much knew something was up with him right from the start, but they do keep you in the dark about what it is for a good part of the book. I liked slowly piecing the puzzle together as the plot unfolded. I thought the pacing was great. It wasn't too rushed or too slow in any parts. It just kind of floated along at a medium to brisk pace. I would have liked to see a little bit more romance in the book but a certain character was pretty stubborn when it came to love. I hope there is more of where the book left off in the next installment.

The world in Fractured Light is so interesting because it is pretty much our world but with some new creatures thrown in co-existing with us. I liked the descriptions of the lights, and the vykens and I can't wait to see what is going to happen in the next book. It seems like it will be action packed with "light" goodness! Fractured Light is a paranormal lovers perfect book!

The Unofficial Zack Warren Fan Club is an addictive romance. It is such a good summer beach read. Light, fun and it has a very cute love story to boot. The underlying plot that the book starts off as is funny and kind of convoluted. There is a secret fan club, and two people that secretly like each other but now outwardly hate each other. Throw in the parents remarrying each other and you know that you will have plenty of antics to keep you entertained.

Zack Warren is hot and popular enough to warrant a fan club, but thinks he is so much more, or different, from the rumors. And you know what, he genuinely was different. I had my doubts, but he was actually a nice guy! He was protective, ambitious, driven and just a tad bit jealous. (but you know what? I actually like my book boyfriends to be a little bit jealous sometimes. It makes me tingly. If that sort of thing isn't for you, I totally get that- but he wasn't annoyingly caveman or anything like that. It was kind of adorable when he got jealous actually.)

Chloe is stubborn and also kind of adorable. I really like the two of them together. Their story is pure fun. I thought it was hilarious how worked up she gets about the fan club at the start of the book. It was also a pretty funny story. I love witty writing, and The Unofficial Zack Warren Fan Club. The only thing I didn't like about the book was Chloe's best friend, Lana. I couldn't stand her. I didn't think she added anything to the story except to annoy me. I didn't think she was a good friend at all. But luckily, she isn't in the story too much.

While the storyline is not completely original, the fan club idea throws a new twist into the mix and I really enjoyed that. I also really liked that this is going to be a series, where each book focuses on a different character. Up next is a real sweetie from this book, Zack's friend, and I can't wait to see what his story will be like. If you are looking for a great contemporary with witty characters, great writing, and and a sweet and sexy romance, you should definitely check out The Unofficial Zack Warren Fan Club!

This is another one of those series that I read books 1 and 2 back to back. It's great for instant gratification, not so great for writing reviews. It's hard for me to separate the two from each other. (oh, the problems oh book bloggers. ;) haha)The Noctalis Chronicles is a very promising vampire series; one that I am enjoying a lot!

It is a pretty typical portrayal of vampires with a slight twist. Not only are they ok with sunlight- they actually need it to process the blood. I thought that was fascinating! Other than that, they are your average everyday blood-suckers. There are a few main vampire players in this book, but the main one is Peter. As you may guess, Peter is more compassionate than the other vampires but I loved that he was so devoid of most emotions. Maybe that isn't the best way to describe him. He is more detached from emotions as we know them. It made him realistic actually. I could picture him as a vampire, because of his detachment. Ava, if likable too- but she has no self preservation mode. That bugged me a little at the start. She almost was killed but she still went out to the woods. In the middle of the night. Alone. Who does that?

But other than this behavior that I could not relate to, I thoroughly enjoyed the story! The writing is good, the description of the vampires is interesting and I really liked that the vampires were all kind of different. I love the mother daughter relationship between Ava and her mom. I love the dynamic between Peter and Ava, and right when I finished the first book, I immediately wanted to start the second one.

Right before I sat down to read this book, I watched Phantom of the Opera for the first time ever! I liked the movie but I was kind of bummed she didn't end up with the Phantom. I have to say that I liked the book by Laura DeLuca even more than the movie! It was super creepy. I would not want to go to their high school, that's for sure. But fans of the movie phantom of the opera are sure to love this book!

This book is a total mystery. I could not figure out who the true opera ghost was until the very end and I was shocked right along with everyone else. Normally I am better at figuring these things out. But it is a true murder mystery book. I both loved and was scared of the mystery unfolding. The only thing I didn't totally love was the fact that no one seemed to be doing anything or saying anything about all of these kids getting injured, or even killed, from the drama department! I mean, it seems like a big deal to me, but no one put two and two together. Other than that, the book felt just like the movie Phantom of the Opera. It had the same dark, creepy feel with the threats of notes and Becca was so perfect. She was like a spunkier version of Christine.

As for the guys, it was a clear winner from the start. Tom was nice and all, but he never clicked for me. He was too caught up in appearances. Justyn just seems so sincere all the time. He really was a tortured soul. I just really liked him the whole time.

I'm not going to say too much more. This really is a book you have to read for yourself if you like Phantom or murder mysteries in general. I loved the writing and the incorporation of the quotes and lines from the play. It was great. A real treat for Phantom of the Opera fans!

/Inbetween is such a nice story. I read it what felt like one quick sitting. It just flew by. It was such a nice love story and the world of the reapers and the inbetween was really cool!

Finn is just adorable. I can't imagine anyone not liking him. He is just like a cute little puppy. Who doesn't like puppies? He just seemed so inherently good. I loved seeing him interact with Emma. I am dying to know more about him though. We got to know him a little but it was not nearly enough to satisfy my curiosity. I hope to learn more about him in the next book because I have such a sweet little crush on him.

Emma is pretty awesome too. I really liked her with Finn. Their romance stole the show for me. Emma's best friend is a guy. But they have the most refreshing relationship ever! Neither one of them like each other! I can't even tell you how nice that was. To see a guy and a girl grow up together, be best friends and not have any unrequited love going on. It kept the focus of the story on Emma and Finn- just where I wanted it.

This book was not just a sweet love story. There is an angry spirit thrown into the mix and it would totally have freaked me out if I were Emma. Some of the things that happened were crazy!

I loved learning about the Reapers and all the different worlds, but I would have liked to learn even more about the concept of the afterlife. I hope this concept will be further explored in the next book, because I find it fascinating! Inbetween is a really sweet and engaging story. I love Finn and Emma, and this book made me really love reapers. And the set up for book 2 is really great! I can't wait to read it, judging by this book it is going to be wonderful!

I think that Nightmare is even better than book one, Nocturnal. I felt like we really got to dive into the meat of the story, and I loved that we got to know the characters better.

Peter and Ava get so much closer in Nightmare. It is crazy how close they get. But it never felt rushed or exaggerated. I really enjoyed watching their progression. And if you remember, in my review of book one I stated that I wanted to get to know Peter more, and find out more about his past. Well in Nightmare, you get to do just that! Peter slowly starts to share bits of himself with Ava.

Another interesting concept here was the "claiming" of Ava. I really liked how the whole thing was described as Ava and Peter were experiencing it. It was well done.

The Noctalis Chronicles are turning out to be such a great treat! I am really getting attached to Peter and Ava and I can't wait to see what is going to happen with them. I was surprised by a certain evil brother more than once. If you are looking for a new vampire series, I think The Noctalis Chronicles would be a great choice.

Whoa! Stitch was nothing like I was expecting. It surprised me so much. I went into it thinking it would be intriguing. Then I picked up the book a while later and forgot what the summary said. So I start the story and I figure its a simple little ghost tale, and I expected to enjoy it. But I got so much more from Stitch, and it is not a simple story. Not at all! It is continuously morphing, which meant that it was always grabbing my interest. Once I really got into the story, I could not put it down. I loved it.

Alessa seems like such a sad soul. I felt so bad for her, but she really is a resilient character. She just keeps going on, like the little engine that could. (remember that kids story?) I do wish we got to see a little more of Nikiha though. It seemed like his storyline was unfinished. But in his place we got Issac. He just made me smile. I loved seeing snippets of the story from his POV. I can't wait to see more of his story. I feel like we only just scratched the surface with him, which makes me so excited for book 2.

The world in Stitch kind of blew my mind. I just kept sitting there thinking about the logistics of it for so long. It was so flippin' cool in a terrifying way! But I did love going over the details of it all and I can't wait to find out even more about it in the next book.

Stitch totally exceeded my expectations! And I love being surprised in a great way like this. It kept me guessing and kept me turning pages until the very end. It is a really great dystopian, so if you are a dystopian fan this would be a great trilogy for you to check out!

I really like the Bonfire Academy series. The star of the story for me is Cordelia. I know that the Bonfire Academy series is the prequel series to the upcoming Faustine Chronicles, but so far I like Cordelia more than faustine, so I am nervous that I will end up liking the Bonfire Academy series more than Faustine's story, but I guess we wont know until she grows up a little more and I get to know her better. I just hope she is almost as awesome as Cordelia. She is by far, my favorite Demon. :)

Integration is just as good as Initiation was. The students are a little older, but the mystery is just as captivating and gripping. The little haiku notes were creepy and thrilling. I am still itching to figure everything out. We do get some answers but they are the kind that bring on even more questions. The next book is going to be gooo-ood!!

I love Jagger. I longed for those romantic moments between him and Cordelia and I wanted even more of them that we got in the book. I am hoping to see much more of him in the future. I also really liked Colton. He is pretty cool and very nice. I can't wait to see more of him in the next book too. Quinn wasn't in this book too much, so I don't really know what is going on with him. He has gotten my attention and I am just hoping that something is missing and we will find the missing piece for him soon. Bonfire Academy sounds like such a cool school to go to, I love the idea of all different kinds of paranormal coming together to learn.

I liked Integration a lot! It dragged in a few places but I never fully lost interest because the mystery had me all tied up in knots. At the end of the book, I literally sat there in shock for a good couple of minutes! I had a few inklings of what was going on but to actually see it spelled out so vividly was crazy! Oh man, I have still not gotten over it. Fans of Initiation, will really enjoy Integration as well. If you like mysteries and paranormal, you will really like this series!
