Nightmare by Chelsea M. Cameron
4.0

I think that Nightmare is even better than book one, Nocturnal. I felt like we really got to dive into the meat of the story, and I loved that we got to know the characters better.

Peter and Ava get so much closer in Nightmare. It is crazy how close they get. But it never felt rushed or exaggerated. I really enjoyed watching their progression. And if you remember, in my review of book one I stated that I wanted to get to know Peter more, and find out more about his past. Well in Nightmare, you get to do just that! Peter slowly starts to share bits of himself with Ava.

Another interesting concept here was the "claiming" of Ava. I really liked how the whole thing was described as Ava and Peter were experiencing it. It was well done.

The Noctalis Chronicles are turning out to be such a great treat! I am really getting attached to Peter and Ava and I can't wait to see what is going to happen with them. I was surprised by a certain evil brother more than once. If you are looking for a new vampire series, I think The Noctalis Chronicles would be a great choice.
