This book was good. And good for this series means great by normal book series, in my opinion. I really enjoyed it but I enjoyed previous books more. This book was a bit sadder than some of the others, with the whole Bill thing going on and not nearly enough Eric for my tastes.
While I really like Quinn, I LOVE Eric. So its hard for me, because Quinn is so good for her and he is such a great guy, err Tiger, but I love Sookie and Eric for me. But because Quinn is so wonderful its hard for me to dislike him and to root for Sookie and Quinn to not work out. But that is what I am rooting for because I want her and Eric to get together already! He has grown on me so much!
I can't wait to read the next book.

This book was so mysterious. In a really good way! I really, really enjoyed it. Cameo is so complex. When I started out the book, I just thought of her in a very one-dimensional way; as a killer. But as the story progresses you keep unraveling more parts of her past and she just becomes so much more real and interesting! I really liked her, I was surprised by how compassionate she was.
Black Opal was such a strange guy. He was peculiar, but I liked that about him. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen between him and Cameo. I’m really happy that he was such a major role in this story because I initially thought that he was only going to be a minor character. I also love how taken he is with Cameo. He goes out on a lot of limbs for her and I think that is just so cute.
I was astonished by how many plot twists and surprises there were. It was awesome! I can’t even tell you how many times I didn’t see something coming. And I love it when that happens. When a book can totally surprise me, and catch me off guard, it makes me so happy! I want to tell you guys some of the things that blindsided me while reading, but not knowing was part of the fun for me, so I won’t take that away from any of you. Just know that there are some really cool twists in this story. Once I got about 25 pages into this book I just did not want to put it down. At all. I had to know what was going to happen next. Would I be surprised again? Would I be able to guess what was going to happen? Not knowing if something was going to be revealed that would send the story in a completely different direction was really fun for me.
I will say that sometimes the story switched between different scenes kinda quickly. I was left with an incomplete picture at times and then just shifted over to something completely new. I know that adds to the mysterious vibe that I really enjoyed about this book, but it also left me confused at moments. And the cliffhanger! Oh that cliffhanger- it definitely did its job, I want to read the second book right now!

This book was really good. It reminded me of a Nicolas Sparks romance, the beautiful and sweet and sometimes sad kind of romance. This book was definitely all of those things. It really is such a nice love story. You do have to be in the mood for a nice romance book because if you are not, then certain parts can seem a little cheesy. But that's what romance is all about. I really liked it. Logan is so nice and sweet; though I was kind of annoyed that he would never tell Amber anything, but I understand that he wanted her to figure it out on her own. I could just feel Amber's frustration when she was trying to remember and he wasn't helping her.
I could really relate to Amber. She spoke about being scared and a hesitant person and I totally get that. Logan seemed fearless, but Amber wasn't. She was confused at times and she did not hide any of her emotions. When she was feeling something you could tell. I liked that about her. What you see, is what you get.
The story was beautifully done and really sweet to read. I wanted to be part of Logan's family because they were just so darn cute together!
Some parts made me so sad, I just wanted everything to work out for Logan and Amber right from the beginning, but I loved reading about their journey. The element of mystery surrounding them was also really cool, I couldn't wait to find out how everything fit together.
This book is great for anyone looking for a really sweet and powerful love story.
3.5/5 Gavels.

I loved reading this book. Seriously, it just put me in such a good mood the whole time I was reading it. I stopped multiple times and just said, "I really like this. This book is awesome."
At the start, it kind of reminded me of the way that Wicked Lovely started off. With one girl failing the "role" she was trying to fill and having to look for a new candidate. But this book was better than Wicked Lovely in my opinion. I mean they were really different concepts; one was about fairy's and one was about mythology and Hades (Henry), so it probably is not fair to compare them.
I love reading about Greek Mythology, and this was an awesome twist on the classic story of Hades and Persephone. Henry AKA Hades was so different than I had always thought of him, and I must say that I really prefer this version of him. I know that he is supposed to be all mean and bitter and he was so nice and smart and dreamy. I could see hints of the classic Hades anger problems but not so much that it would be annoying. I loved his characterization. He was distant at times and it annoyed me a little bit, but then I thought about how long he has been alone and I just felt so bad for him. I am hoping in the next book to maybe see some of his possessiveness that he had with Persephone. I don't want him to be annoying, but maybe a little jealousy would not be too much. I am a sucker for a slightly (and not overly) jealous guy in my books. I can't wait to find out.
I really liked reading about Kate and Ava's friendship throughout the book. Especially since, when I first started reading I thought Ava was going to be a class A jerk. That was one of the main things I loved about this book. Everything turns out so nicely. Each of the side-story lines and relationships has growth throughout the book and comes to a very satisfying ending. It was just an overall great read.
I also really liked James. That is a little difficult for me. Normally, I like to have a guy I am rooting for and a guy that I can dislike. But James makes it really hard for me to dislike him. But I don't want Kate to end up with him because I love Henry so much. I'm conflicted, and am so interested to see what is going to happen in the next book.
Awesome book, I would definitely recommend checking this book out.

This book was just ok for me. I liked it enough but I wasn't in love with it. The characters were good and the story was enjoyable enough but nothing really popped for me. I wasn't enthralled by the story. I will probably read the next book just to see what will happen with Clayton. He was my favorite character.
This book was not for me. It got better towards the very end but for most of the book I was annoyed with the characters. To start off, I read to page 90 and I was still not sure where the story was going to go. This is too long of a slow build up for me. I like to kind of know what I'm reading about when I hit the half way point of a book.
Another thing I did not like were the characters. I was not in love with any of them, and in fact most of them bugged me. I know that the point of the book was to show struggle and shed some light on some darker issues but I would have enjoyed the book more if I had connected with or felt drawn to some of the main characters. (then I would have been more interested in their struggles or the journey)
It was a realistic book and I know it dealt with darker issues, but I was just annoyed with Caitlyn for most of the time. I think part of the reason I did not love this book was because there was very little happiness of any kind in it. Even when books are dark or dealing with serious things, I like a little lightness thrown in at points and there was not much of that here.
The writing of this book was great, and I am hoping that means I will enjoy some of Sarah Dessen's other books more. This was my first book of hers that I have read, so I was a little disappointed, but I am hoping with other characters and a different storyline I will like some of her other books more. I have heard great things about her as an author, and I really did enjoy her writing style. I am holding out hope and I will give another one of her books a shot.

I have to say this first...some parts of this book were very weird. But, after reading the whole thing, I think it was weird in a very good way. I loved this book. I had read another one of Robert Cormier's books in middle school, I am the Cheese, and I remember thinking that book was strange too. I also remember enjoying it. It is a very interesting mix of crazy and innovative, and strange and brilliant. They way everything comes together is just so nice!
The main character, Paul, does remind me a lot of Holden Caulfield from the Catcher in the Rye. And trust me, this is a great comparison in my book. I loved reading through Paul's perspective. I also really liked how the book was split up into different parts, each from a different person's perspective. Each time the person changed, the book also shifted in some big way. This made reading Fade always interesting. It kept you on your toes, never allowing you to get bored or think you know what is going to happen next. I really liked how everything ended, even though it was a very enigmatic ending- it was very fitting with the style of the book. Does the Fade exist? I felt like it was kind of like the ending to the movie Inception for me. And if I remember correctly (it was a long time ago) there was also a similar twist at the end of I am the cheese, that totally took me by surprise when I read it in 7th grade.
I'm glad that I gave this book a chance. My sister wanted me to read it because she really liked it. And my sister is not a reader, so for her to enjoy a book it must be something pretty special. So I gave it a shot, and I am super happy that I did. This book was very unique, and unlike most of the things that I have read. I am definitely going to read some of his other books, because I am loving his writing style and his imagination. He is a great author!

This book was good! I have been reading so much young adult lately, that reading this adult book was a nice change up for me. It was different from other vampire stories that I have read, and I really enjoyed this take on the creatures.
It was really interesting, and the story was the perfect length. It didn't drag on and it wasn't too short and it wasn't too long. I loved Victoria, she was such a strong character, and Amanda Greene was so descriptive with everything. I experienced everything Victoria and Dorian were going through, right along with them.
Speaking of Dorian, He was so hot and awesome! I loved learning about his past and his kingdom. What took me by surprise though, was that he seemed so much gentler than the typical vampires that I have read about and imagined. There were a few moments in the story where his vampiric nature would shine through. But for the most part he seemed very controlled and human. For the most part, I really liked this about him. However; I would have also liked to see more of his vampire side, I think.
I also really liked that even though their relationship was very intimate for a good part of the book, it still took them a long time to say I love you to each other. This made it seem more realistic and not rushed at all.
This story was really great. Amanda Greene has such a way with description, which really made the story a joy to read.
