I just wrote my whole review for this book, and went to save it and lost the whole thing! Not cool! Ok, I guess I will try again.
This book was fantastic! I seriously loved Paranormalcy! Everything was so well developed- the storyline, the characters/creatures, and the mystery. All of it was just incredible. It was such a joy to read. I really connected with Evie and I loved her instantly. I would be great friends with her, I just know it. She is so funny and spunky, and most of all she is strong. I do love a good, strong female lead. Evie is pretty awesome. Period. Plus the mystery surrounding her is pretty intriguing. I loved reading about it.
And speaking of awesome characters, I loved Lend as well. He was really interesting and extra adorable whenever Evie was around. I loved their interactions. I was rooting for them the whole time. They are just so darn cute whenever they are together. I love the vulnerability that Lend shows when he is around Evie. I want to see so much more of them in the next book, I can't wait!!
I also loved the variety of "paranormals" that were depicted in this story. There was really something for everyone! I loved reading about all the creatures and it was refreshing to see vampires shown in not a very nice light. That is pretty different than other books I have been reading. I know alot of people have really Liked Reth, but he just did not win me over. I have not read too many Fey books. In fact, this is only my second encounter with them and I have to say I liked Keenan from Wicked Lovely, much better. Reth did earn some brownie points with me towards the end, so I don't know. We will see what he does in the next book; I think I will reserve my judgment until then.
Amazing, wonderful, and all around great book. I need to read the second one ASAP! I can't get enough of Evie and her paranormal world! Love it!!
Well, this was not as good as my first review. I'm sorry for that.

I really enjoyed this book. I felt like I was reading a teen version of Ocean's 11. (which is one of my favorite movies) This book was really cute and very fast paced. There were no slow parts or parts where I was bored.
I liked all the characters too. Kat was very likable. She was strong and smart and she managed to pull off being a thief while still being a good person. I just wanted to push her into Hale's arms the entire book. I kept reading and thinking, "on the next page something is going to happen between Hale and Kat" and then most of time nothing happened.
So I am hoping in the next book more happens between the two of them.
I am also a big sucker for art and museums, so I loved hearing all the descriptions of the paintings and the Henley. All of the heist planning was really interesting for me too. It got me thinking and had me trying to piece together their plot. That kept me really engaged in the storyline. A few times, however; a lot was going on at once and I found myself having to re-read a paragraph to keep from getting confused. But that's only because there were a lot of high action scenes in this book.
Great book! I look forward to seeing what will happen next, and I can only hope to see more Hale/Kat interaction.

I COULD NOT put this book down! And trust me, I tried. Im sick and I have a major assignment due in Law school, and still I could not manage to do anything except read this book. It was that good!
*there will be spoilers* if you have not read this trilogy though, go do it. Right now, don't even bother to turn your computer off. Just run to the nearest store/library/e-reader and start reading! You will not regret it!
Seriously I wish I had read this series when it first came out so I could re-read it over and over again.
I did not expect for them to go back into the hunger games!(in the quarter quell) That was a big twist for me.
As creepy and disturbing as the actual hunger games are, the arenas kind of fascinate me. The amount of time and things that are put into them is crazy! i'm more than a little in love with Peeta, and Katniss too! I really liked the development between them in this book. Peeta is way smarter than I was initially giving him credit for, the whole baby thing was genius.
I have nothing bad to say about this book. Except that I wish there was more than one book left...

There are no words to describe this book! No way to capture just how amazing it is.
This book is so unlike anything else I have read, it is so powerful and gripping and incredible in every sense of the word.
Katniss truly is the girl on fire. She is powerful and strong and a survivor. I admire her so much (even though she can be annoyingly dense at times)
This book had me crying, gasping, and gaping in amazement. I could not put it down!
Peeta is adorable, and I want to punch Katniss for how dense she is and hurting him at the end. I cannot wait to see how their relationship develops in the next book.
This book makes you think, and you get lost in its world. Suzanne collins paints such a detailed picture. I just finished the book and I want to pick it right back up and start it over again. That is how much I am in love with the hunger games.

Twist is the second book in the Dive Bar by Kylie Scott. This series is an adult contemporary romance series, and it is a spin off of her Stage Dive Series. I really enjoyed the first book in this series, Dirty, but you don't have to read Dirty before you read Twist. Each of the books in the Dive Bar series can be read as standalones. I really like the Dive Bar world and the characters are great. I am so happy that I have read this series from the beginning (Lately, I have had this habit of picking up books in the middle of series, which most of the time works out just fine because they can be read as standalones, but I sometimes forget how much fun it is to revisit your favorite characters and how much it adds to the series if you know the characters really well.) This is a series that I know I will be continuing.
Twist is the story of Jo and Alex, but don't worry we still get to see Vaughan and Lydia a lot because so much of the story is in and out of the bar, which I loved. One of the things I loved so much about Dirty was the whole gang of secondary characters, and that continues to be one of the things I loved most about Twist. It is like revisiting your whole group of somewhat dysfunctional but all kinds of fun and caring group of friends. They are the best and they are the reason I am so excited to read more in this series.
Jo and Alex are a great match. I really enjoyed reading about them. They certainly didn't take a conventional path to love. They started out pretty rocky and had some twists and turns from there. Annoyance, friends, not friends, more than friends, friends, undefinable. All of those categorize Alex and Jo at some point in twist, but I loved being a part of their journey. I'm super glad that there wasn't insta-love or even insta-lust in this one. It was refreshing. And their journey was really fun and satisfying to read about.
Bottom line: Twist is a great book. The dive bar series is really awesome overall. Really, that is it. I have nothing else to say other than this is a really really great book and you should read it. I can't wait to continue this series.
