Only marking down one star as I’m disappointed that we don’t get to find out what happened to Sadie!!

Written in a clever way with the use of the podcasts alternating Sadies perspective although the layout didn’t lend its self well to a kindle and so would recommend that you get the physical copy of the book.

This is the combined story of Mary Shelley’s life at the time of writing Frankenstein and the impact to humanity now AI is prominent part of the modern world.

This is a hard one to review as I didn’t dislike it but I didn’t love it. I really wish I had read Frankenstein before I read this as some of the references and comparisons may have had more of an impact on me. The link between Mary Shelley and AI was clever and a perspective I hadn’t thought of before.

It did make me think more about the future of AI and had made me want to read Frankenstein!

The Christian Companions idea really made me laugh

This is the story of a very sick girl who cant leave her house falling in love with the strong willed boy who moves in next door and has problems of his own.

This was a lovely teen romance that was easy to read in an evening. I enjoyed the use of different medias such as IM's, emails and texts and the story progressed fast enough.

That being said I saw the twist coming very very early on and there were inconsistencies that annoyed me such as where did Maddy and Olly get their money from? I know its tells you she gets a credit card but I don't believe she would get a credit card with a big enough balance to pay for everything they did with no credit history!

I loved this novel this tells the tale of if America had a royal family instead of presidents. I found it a hybrid of the princesses diaries and gossip girl, who wouldn't love that!

My favourite part was probably the end (cant say too much without spoiling it) but I could completely visualise it almost to the point where I had cast the actors in my head!

Most of the couples seemed well matched and I really liked that the sisters sis end up communicating as so many stories now depend on the characters misunderstanding the situation and being too afraid to talk to the other people.

There were so many loveable characters but my favourites were Bee, Conner and Samantha. I know a lot of people dislike Daphne but I did feel sorry for her with all the pressure on her. However I really really did not like Nina's character, I felt she was selfish and could have brought so much more to the story with being one of the only "commoners" to feature prominently.

Cant wait for book 2 coming out next year!

Set in America in the 1930’s, Alice is a stranger in a foreign land when she moves across the world to be with her husband, who she believes is the love of her life, only to realise she doesn’t know him at all. She is lonely and so decides to volunteer to help start a travelling library to be run by women. This opens her to the friendship of four unlikely woman and follows their stories in a time when woman are starting to be more than just house wives.

I have to admit I was a bit unsure when I started reading this as I am not as massive fan of historical fiction, I can read it but I have to be in the right mood for it and I will be honest I hadn’t read the description when I requested the ARC, I just saw it was Jojo and said “yes please!!”
That being said I was quickly drawn in (as is usually the case with anything I read by Moyes) and I found myself enjoying the story line.

I enjoyed that although the story was fictional, the library initiative was real and helped so many people.

This is a hard one to review as nothing much happened and yet I literally could not put this down. I was just so engrossed in following Marianne and Connell’s relationship!! There were time when I just wanted to slap their heads together and say “just tell him/her how you feel!”
I don’t think this is for everyone but I really enjoyed it and will definitely read another by Sally Rooney.

Another fantastic instalment from Adam Kay!

I have to admit that I thought this was a little bit of a rip off when I first saw the size of it but I have just sat down and read it in one sitting and it had me laughing out loud on multiple occasions so I no longer begrudge the tiny size!

I love that in with the humour there are touching stories and reminders that we should take the time to think of others who don’t get to spend Christmas with their loved ones.

I also really really hope “vaginaphylaxsis” trends as it made me snort tea out of my nose!
