I will say I enjoyed this book. It was a little long winded at times and not so much information was needed but the overall story was good and enjoyable. A little slow to start but picked up.

I will say the very end I felt was kind of a stretch and a little far fetched, even for a super natural thriller, but didn't ruin the book completely. That's the only reason it only got 4 starts.

This was a very slow beginning but I ended up really enjoying the story and the characters. It gets quite emotional towards the ending when all the truth comes out.

I don't know if I'll read the sequels but if you like murder mystery with a Christie feel to it, this is a good choice.

This was a very surprising collection of stories from Aron. This wasn't just a gory collection but some very sentimental stories and interesting introspection. Aron is not a one trick pony and this proves it.

While I really enjoyed the story and the premise was interesting, the writing style didn't fully work for me. The characters were great and the story was unique, definitely recommend for those who enjoy vampires and such. Some parts seemed to drag on a little bit. I don't think I'll continue with the series as it just isn't to my tastes, but I could easily see other people finding enjoyment in this world.

Similar to my reviews of the other books on the series, the abundance of architectural information and repair takes new out of the story. I understand the purpose but I think it could be less.

I really enjoyed the overall story and characters and this one had a paranormal element...kind of... in the story. A good read for halloween.

I believe this one is the last in the series now, but we shall see.

This was a very emotional and thought provoking read. I really enjoyed seeing Daryl do something quite different and complex as this. The characters were unique and fun without being stereotypical or cliches of the vampire lore.

It does contain some violence and blood, but nothing too extreme.

I really enjoyed this from Judith. I honestly think it might be one of my top favorites I've read from her (The Clown Hunt and No One Rides For Free) because it's such a good story for being short stories that are all connected. The ending really sealed the deal.

While it is a collection, I would just consider it a novel broken into parts because it all becomes one big story. The stories are all different but yet still fun.

She states it is not as extreme as her other works, but that's what makes it stand out. I like the call back to like classic Halloween stories where the intention is to scare, not gross out.

I am so glad I finally picked up these volumes. Hellsing has always had a special place in my heart, but I never got to finish it during its original run.

I love having these lovely tomes of the manga, it's such amazing quality at a great price. The story telling is done at a great pace and the art style is amazing. In the first few chapters, it is a little odd looking at places, especially if you are familiar with the anime, but it cleans up very quickly.

Definitely a read if you enjoy vampires, political and religious fighting and a whole lot of blood!

Wow! This book was such a journey from start to finish. I loved watching the main character become more and more unhinged as the story went along and all the pieces that lead to her eventual fate. This store isn't the most gorey I've read from Volpe but it certainly wasn't boring because of that.

It does do a good job on making a social commentary when it comes to beauty standards and what they can do to an individual. Most would not react like this, but it was still an interesting ride none the less.

Once you take a chapter or two to get into the narrative style, this book does not disappoint. You honestly have sympathy for every character by the end for one reason or another, even the "villain" of the story doesn't stay that way for very long.

There are so many themes going on but it somehow all works. Interestingly enough, the story ends on a semi-positive note of the fact that life has possibilities and, even if things don't go according to plan, you can still make the choice to follow a path or deviate from it.

A real big thing in this book is that no one is perfect and everyone is prone to mistakes and making poor choices that can affect not just one person's life, but multiple.

There isn't a solid ending so whatever happens after this Halloween night is up for the reader to decide.
