Wow! This book totally exceeded my expectations! I was transfixed by the politically charged landscape the writer created with witches and fairies in turmoil.

Add to that the timeless mix of a college for magic and some fantastic eclectic characters and this book was impossible to put down. I'm so annoyed now that I have to wait until 2022 for the next part!

Be prepared to trust and mistrust everyone, be Enchanted by elemental magic and yo encounter a good few surprises along the way.

Compelling and enchanting - would recommend.

Thanks BookSirens for offering me a review copy- I am offering my honest opinions voluntarily.

Incredible concept- beautiful moments. I think it would have been five stars for me if I had been to New York.

Fast-paced and magical

This book does everything it should and more - a romantic intertwining of a King his Sage along with the themes of magic, betrayals, societal expectations and family relationships.

This book is steamy without being overly explicit, romantic without being too cheesy and has enough tension to drive the plot forward.

I would recommend this if you like quick M/M romantic fantasy reads!

You will enjoy this book if you are a fan of fantasy, magic, different lands and worlds but also if you like political turmoil and the past not being quite what it seems!

I found this book hard to get into - a lot of the background and information at the beginning seemed so unnecessary at the time but as soon as our main character left for her original quest (say no more!) The pace went at lightning speed and I was completely hooked.

My recommendation is pick this one up and persevere - it is worth it and you do need the background info in the end ;) so pay attention to who people are!
