Backup Plan is the first book in a new series, however, if you have read the Dawson Family series you’ll remember Sam Harris (friend of Archer and Dean’s brother in law) and we did get little glimpses of the Harris Family in Rock Bottom, so I am glad to get more of them!

Chloe is a friend of the entire Harris family. She was the odd one out in school, she was bullied for being different. Her and Sam made a promise to each other for the future. They were going to be each other’s backup plans, however, Chloe has always had a crush on Sam and she didn’t think he felt the same about her. Flash forward years later and they see each other again, will the keep their promise to each other?

I loved Chloe. She was herself and she stayed true to herself even with finding success in her life. She felt insecurities that I think we all still do. She was surrounded by people, she had fame, however, she still felt alone and that is something I think everyone feels at some point in time. I loved her quirkiness, her nerdiness, but she was also smart and unafraid to be herself. Sam, I liked him from the moment he was introduced in the Dawson Family series. He was a playboy, however, he was always secretly crushing on Chloe but never did anything about it. He is part of a close family and the family connection shows throughout this story. The chemistry between Chloe and Sam is great, there is loads of tension between them throughout the story, too.

This does end on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see where Sam and Chloe’s story will go and for the rest of this series! Backup Plan is a MUST READ!

Dangerous Little Secrets picks up right where things left off in Devious Little Liars and I was DYING to know what was going to happen next. While some questions may have been answered, so so so many more questions came up as the twists and turns continued.

I didn’t think it was possible to love Rafe, Banjo and Colt anymore than I already did but I do. Despite everything these three remain best friends, they know each other, they support each other and are protective of Lacey. I love all four of them. The chemistry, the tension, the steam. It’s fantastic.

The story itself is captivating. It is addicting. It will suck you in and you won’t be able to put the book down. There is mystery, secrets, and lies throughout. There is so much emotion in this book, too. Each of these characters is so different from one another, they come from different lives, different backgrounds, yet the bond they have formed is inspiring.

I can’t recommend this series enough. Dangerous Little Secrets is a MUST READ and I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next!

If you’ve read the Slay series you’ll love this little novella about Camilla, Edward’s sister. If you haven’t read the Slay series this is a great introduction to her and you’ll be dying to read more about the Fasbender family.

Camilla hasn’t had an easy life, she was an orphan, she experienced a lot of trauma, yet she was worked hard for herself as a photographer. However, someone from her past is back and is a student in the class she is teaching. He’s a man that she hasn’t forgot about, even if it was only one night.

I loved the chemistry between Camilla and Hendrix. I loved that he didn’t push her, he knew she had walls up and there was something she was hiding about her past. He was patient with her and that makes me love him even more. Plus, the way he makes her feel, he doesn’t look at her as some poor little girl who was an orphan. He sees a survivor and a beautiful woman.

Slash is a fast paced novella that is a great addition for fans of the Slay series or a great introduction to the series. A MUST READ.

The Wedding Date Disaster was such a fun, laugh out loud book. If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers, fake relationship romcom this is one to check out.

Will is used to people using him since he is successful. It’s only natural he thinks the same thing about his twin brothers best friend. Will and Hadley are not each others biggest fans, even though they have a common bond in Web. Will is known as the “evil twin” and Hadley can’t stand being around him. So a week in the middle of nowhere Nebraska stuck with Will is pretty much her worst nightmare.

This book was just a fun, feel good, romcom. I enjoyed every single moment of this story. It was full of fun family moments, laugh out moments, sweetness, romance, and banter. If you’re looking for a fun and light weekend read this is one to check out!

Her Bad Idea is the story of Scarlett and while it may be the seventh book in the series, this can be read as a complete standalone since it is the first book for Scarlett.

Scarlett is a burlesque dancer, she loves what she does, however, she is in debt, so when the opportunity comes up to enter a dance competition, she is all for it. The downside? She has to have a partner and the man who volunteered is someone she knows and judged her the moment he met her. Both her and Pete have walls up, they do have some hilarious banter throughout the story.

Her Bad Idea is a SLOW, SLOW, SLOW burn. However, I couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was going to happen between Scarlett and Pete. I was completely invested in these characters and their relationship. I can’t wait to see where things go and how their story continues.

Jaded by Love is an instalove story that will have you laughing, fanning yourself and falling in love.
Audrey goes where the cards take her and this time it is leading her and her daughter, Love, to Dixie Point, Alabama to help her friend Bristol. Conner grew up in Dixie Point, but since the loss of his wife his focus has been his job and his daughter, Jade. Yet, the moment he sees Audrey there is an instant connection. There is something about her that he is drawn to.

Audrey and Conner have fantastic chemistry from the moment they meet. They are drawn together, and it helps that their daughters have quickly become best friends, too. They both have walls up around their hearts, so there is a little fighting when it comes to attraction and some insecurities. I loved the relationship both Audrey and Conner had with their daughters, it was fun and endearing. Plus, the girl’s friendship was fun and like any teenagers would do they try to force their parents together.

If you’re looking for a quick weekend read that is full of laughs and steam Jaded by Love is a MUST READ!

THIS BOOK. From the moment it was announced it was one of most anticipated reads and it was captivating, mysterious, addicting, steamy. There is so much to this story, there are secrets, twists and turns. It is EVERYTHING.

Maximus is a professor. Kara is his student. They are drawn to each other. There is a whole new level to their connection, but neither of them really knows why. Kara isn’t like most people; she is a demon and Hollywood royalty. Maximus grew up in a completely different life than Kara and there is so much he doesn’t know about his past, but he can feel he is different from most people.

I LOVED the chemistry between Maximus and Kara. It is just as captivating and addicting as the story itself. You can feel the deeper connection between them. It truly is magical and perfect. You can just feel their connection, their bond and the heat between them. It oozes off the pages.

Blood of Zeus is captivating, and I cannot wait for more of this series and more of Maximus and Kara! If you’ve never read paranormal or fantasy romance before this is a FANTASTIC introduction to those tropes and if you think you aren’t a fan those tropes you can still enjoy this book and will love this story.

Blood of Zeus is a MUST READ and one of my TOP READS of 2020.

Desiring the Dancer is the first book of a new series from Lilly Avalon, who is also a new to me author. This was a very quick read, but it was fun and enjoyable.

Carlie is at her stepsisters bachelorette party when she strikes up a conversation with one of the waiters, however, she gets a major surprise when she also finds out that he is the entertainment. From the moment Carlie and Aiden start talking there is a connection and chemistry between them.

Despite this being a short novella, I didn’t feel like there was anything missing from the story or that I wasn’t able to get to know the characters and feel a connection with them. I loved that this was fun, it was fast paced. Desiring the Dancer is the perfect combination of sweet and steam. I can’t wait to see what is next for this series and from Lilly.

Play by Play is a fun and sweet prequel novella. I loved getting to know Jase and Samantha, but also getting an introduction to some new characters of an all new series from Kaylee.

Jase has retired from sports, he is wanting to settle down and has his eyes on Samantha. I loved his determination, it never felt too much or forced. He was committed to her and has been for some time, now he just needed to prove it to her. Samantha knows Jase wants her, however, she thinks he is a player, she doesn’t want to give him a chance and waster her time on someone who won’t be serious.

This was a fast paced story, but I loved everything about it. I loved getting an introduction to new characters and an introduction to a new series. I loved Jase and Samantha and their chemistry. Their story is fun and sweet and those two are perfect for each other.

If you’re looking for a fun, short read this one is a MUST READ.

I’ve previously met Vince and Nina in The Plus Ones, however, I LOVED getting to see how they met and the start of their relationship. Plus, their meet cute was fun and I LOVED it.

Vince and Nina are both newly single. Neither looking for anything series, so what’s better than a fun summer fling? After the summer they will part ways and both move on with their lives….but things never really work how we want them to.

I love Vince and he has definitely made my Kayley book boyfriend list. He is sweet, but he also has a dirty side to him. I loved how he cared for his little brother, it was sweet and will seriously melt your heart. Nina is also super loveable. She is funny, sweet and she is caring. The two of them together have amazing chemistry that was instant! I couldn’t get enough of them and their banter. I seriously was cracking up while I was listening to the audiobook of this story.

The narrators, Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright, did a FANTASTIC job bringing both Vince and Nina to life. They both captured Vince and Nina so perfectly that it made the story so much fun to listen to.

This one is a MUST READ and a MUST LISTEN if you’re looking for a laugh out loud romcom.
