A very cute princess story. I liked that Princess Ben was a bit on the chunky side; it's good to have spunky heroines that aren't slim and petite. I liked the journey Ben went on (both literally and figuratively); it suited the story and the character. And while I thought the romance lacked chemistry during the bulk of the story, ultimately, it, and the story itself, was very satisfying.
Simply: worthy topic, interesting information, but Cokie Robberts got in the way of me enjoying her book.
I needed something quick, light, and fun. This one completely fit the bill. Happy day.
Not brilliant, but satisfactory. At the very least, I actually cared for the characters. Which is saying quite a bit.
This one needs a half star... I liked it, but wasn't super-wowed by it. It's a good book of poetry, with a good story, though.
This one is tough to judge: it's an interesting story about the aftermaths and affects a cop shooting has on the cop and his family. It was good, but gruesome and tough to read. It wasn't enjoyable. I suppose if you have a really thick skin you can say that this one is super-great, but that's not me. It's good, but difficult.
A beautiful (to look at and to read), simple, powerful story of love, nature, and a girl coming into her own. Made me cry (and that's saying a lot!).
A very cute follow up to George's very cute Dragon Slippers. A good sequel.
I'm not a dog lover, or even a big fan of narrative books. So I was quite surprised with how much I liked this book. London is a brilliant writer -- there truly is not a wasted word in this book.
Okay... an interesting look into modern China, but I think it might be a bit TOO modern for my tastes. It just didn't do anything for me.
