I literally gave this book a hug after I was done reading it. Such a powerful story with incredible characters! I highly recommend this!

Please don't be like me and watch the film before reading this book. Since I knew where the story was going this book moved at a much slower pace than I would have liked. I still liked the story, but I would have enjoyed it more knowing nothing about the plot going into it. I loved the angst and moral questions posed by the narrative, but the writing style felt off to me. This book makes you think about life and all of it's complexity.

I love a bad ass bitch!

I've always been fascinated with Joan of Arc and this reimagining of her life was a wonderful exploration into her journey. I am inspired by her. Although I'm not particularly religious, I am her for Joan because she was steadfast in her beliefs and although she may not have intended to be she was quite ahead of her time.

Loved this dark, twisty, fantastical story!
