The perfect creepy/festive holiday read. In a word: Bad-Ass.

This book was everything I could have ever wanted. Queen Bardugo strikes again! I loved all of the stories and the illustrations are beautiful.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My last read of 2017 was the magical illustrated edition of this book. As always it was a pleasure to visit Hogwarts again.

I never got around to reading the last book in this trilogy when I first bought it, so I decided to re-read the first two before finally reading the last one. I LOVED this book the first time I read it and I love it still. Such an incredible story! And Kelsea is one of my favorite bad ass bitches! I highly recommend this series!

I received an Advance Readers' Edition for review and was ecstatic when it arrived. I highly enjoyed Wintersong, but I fucking loved Shadowsong. The writing was just as atmospheric and beautiful as the first and the story itself was so fantastic. This was a breathtaking finale. I cried like a baby at the end from a mixture of happiness and sadness. If you enjoy tragically angsty love stories then this duology is for you.

OMG! This book answered so many questions from the first book while leaving even more to be answered in the third! I am looking forward to the conclusion! Kelsea is awesome!

This series goes places that I never expect it to. I was hooked from the beginning and that ending was unsatisfying at first, but then I thought about it and I came to the conclusion that this is the best ending that could of happened because Kelsea saved everyone from either death or a horrible life. She sacrificed the life she knew for a better life(a better world) for everyone else. This series is now an all time favorite and I am so excited to see what this author comes out with next.💖

This book was equal parts heartwarming and heartbreaking. I adored all of the characters and the time period the story was set in is one of my favorites to read about. I loved the mystery aspects of the story and Octobia May is a fantastic little detective. However, this book is so much more than a mystery. It was full of wonderful social commentary and really explored what it means to be free. I adored Octobia May and I think you will too. Thank You to Richard Denney for inspiring me to pick this up. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it was rather confusingly written at certain parts, which made it hard to get a handle on what was happening in those particular moments.

Well, as I expected I cried at the end. Only happy tears of course. This series is just so heartbreaking and heartwarming. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I love it.

I thought this book was tons of fun! I really loved the characters and the magical elements of the story. I did feel that the end was a tad anticlimactic, but I still enjoyed the story. I can't wait to see the film adaptation and to read more of John Bellairs books in the future.
