Thank you the author and publisher for providing me with an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
This book was so well done. It was so beautifully written and heartbreaking in the best way. It wasn't a hallmark tearjerker, this was the real deal and will stay with you for days to come.
At its core this novel is a love triangle that is so relatable despite being set in the past. It explores how one can have strong feelings for more than one person. It is a tale of loss and secrets and betrayal and how your past choices shape your present.
This is one of the best things I have read all year, and I am so proud to have been given the opportunity to review it early. I am recommending this to everyone! Well done.

This book was wonderful. So much charm! I felt like I was transported back to the 1800s. You don’t read romance like this much anymore with a genuine heartfelt happy ending. If you liked the sweetness of the Bridgeton books with non of the spice, this is for you!
I went into this read without knowing much about Pacino's life or career. I have obviously seen him in Scarface, but being much older than I am, most of his career occurred prior to my awareness. I borrowed this book in audio format when it came available at the library because I love memoirs that are narrated by the author, particularly celebrities. Pacino has such a unique and well known voice and he did a great job with this book.
I was entertained the whole way through. There was so much that I didn't know about his early life and career, as well as Hollywood tidbits that were fun to learn. Overall, this was a good time. Sometimes celebrity memoirs can feel self aggrandizing or egotistical, but that was not the case here. Pacino came from a difficult background and I ended the book feeling more respect towards him.

The Rose of Jericho
By Alex Grecian
Summary
The Rose of Jericho is clever. A play on the resurrection flower, this story follows Moses and the days following the murder of the grim reaper. Without the reaper to come for the souls of the dead, people simply stop dying. The chaos unfolds as Moses tries to understand what happened and what he needs to do to fix it.
Review
The book has plenty of gore and murder, so it technically falls into the horror genre, but it lacked the spooky foreboding nature of “Rabbit”. It was well written and had a dark enough setting, but I wanted more from the character development. There were so many different characters and yet I related to almost none of them. I wanted to be more invested in their outcomes. Overall, the book was entertaining and kept me wanting to read more. I do hope that Grecian continues to write books related to the good graces, I would read them.
Recommend
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys horror books that are light on suspense. If you enjoy a macabre vibe and some paranormal encounters, you will want to check this one out.

Title: The Tomb of Dragons
By: Katherine Addison
Format: eARC
Summary
Tomb of Dragons is the next installment in Addison’s “Goblin Emperor” series. We pick up where Thara Celehar has lost his ability to speak with the dead. Having been stripped of his title, this book follows Celehar as he has to rediscover who he is and what his purpose is.
Review
If you were a fan of The Grief of Stones, you are going to love this one! This books was fantastic and I loved it just as much as the first few. Addison is so great at character development and I really feel like if I jumped into the world they would all be my friends. The setting is so special and its just a fantasy wonderland. I thought Addison did a great job tying things up, and there were so many twists in the plot that I did not see coming. I hope this isn’t the end of the series.
Recommend
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed Addison’s first books in this universe. Definitely go and read them first before jumping into this one. Anyone who is a fantasy of science fiction and fantasy should enjoy them immensely.

Title: Hooked
By: Emily McIntyre
Format: Paperback (traveling book club)
✨Summary
Meant to be lightly based on Disney’s Peter Pan, Hooked follows the life of Wendy as she meets the dark and moody James (Hook). Wendy & Hook are forced to face some terrible truths about her past as they come together to decide who they are at their core and who they want to be.
✨Review
I am embarrassed at how much I loved this book. Or maybe I am embarrassed that it took me this long to pick it up off my TBR. I ate it up. I haven’t read a book in a single day in a loooong time and this had me HOOKED. Emily is such a great writer and her characters were just the right amount of morally grey. I will never be able to look at Captain Hook again the same way. The spicy was spicy without being too cheesy and over the top. Was it highly unrealistic and more like a mafia dark romance than Peter Pan? Yes! But I was here for it. I cannot wait to read more from Emily and this series.
✨Recommend
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys dark romance, mafia romance, found family, slow burn, grumpy/sunshine, spice, fan fiction, and morally grey characters. If your like me and your favorite color is grey and you’re looking for something to quickly get you out of a reading slump, this is it.

This book was so well done. It really captured all the relevant information surrounding the OxyContin epidemic and the disastrous effect it had on our country. This story is tragic but the outcome is wonderful. It is so refreshing to see the family be held accountable. Its rare that big corporations experience any repercussions for the damage they do to individual consumers. Greed did not win in this instance and that family and company got everything the deserved.
I listened to the audio version of this book, and the narrator was excellent. Well done.

The concept of this book is so wonderful and unique. First, a horror story with a Christmas setting is just so much fun! Couple that with the author staging it in advent calendar format where you read a chapter each day leading up to Christmas. So cool! Five stars for creativity.
The story itself was ok. I could tell that the author struggled to have to make something interesting happen each individual day. I liked that he used multiple perspectives. It kept my entertaining and wanting to read ahead (which I did! I finished the book 8 days early).
Great job! Fans of horror stories will like this one.

I’m giving it two stars because this just isn’t for me. I read it for my spicy romance book club but this was beyond spicy romance. More scalding hot and zero romance. It’s barely even Christmas related.
I’d recommend this for someone looking for erotica or written p*rn. If you’re hoping for a plot, this doesn’t have any.
