I am embarrassed at how much I loved this book. Or maybe I am embarrassed that it took me this long to pick it up off my TBR. I ate it up. I haven’t read a book in a single day in a loooong time and this had me HOOKED. Emily is such a great writer and her characters were just the right amount of morally grey. I will never be able to look at Captain Hook again the same way. The spicy was spicy without being too cheesy and over the top. Was it highly unrealistic and more like a mafia dark romance than Peter Pan? Yes! But I was here for it. I cannot wait to read more from Emily and this series.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys dark romance, mafia romance, found family, slow burn, grumpy/sunshine, spice, fan fiction, and morally grey characters. If your like me and your favorite color is grey and you’re looking for something to quickly get you out of a reading slump, this is it.
