I wasn’t sure about this book at the start but oh my god did the ending make up for it. I found some of it overly descriptive which made it hard to stay engaged and I also found the switching between first and last names a bit confusing. I haven’t read the first 2 books though which definitely didn’t help. I loved the main characters and I will definitely be going back to read the other books asap.

The first half of the book was a bit slow but once it got going I could not put it down. It was such a tense read. It’s not very often that a book surprises me like that but the ending was just incredible. It’s one of those books that I kept thinking about once I had finished it. It was so clever. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5

I received a copy of the ebook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is book 2 and although it can be read on its own I would recommend reading White Out first so you understand Kylie, Lily and Iver better. I love Kylie and Lily but I would like to know more about Kylie. She’s still a bit of a mystery. This book is told from the POVs of Kylie, Lily and Hannah which I really enjoyed. I just wanted to give Hannah a massive hug and you could feel her fear through the pages. I guessed part of it but I definitely didn’t see a lot of it coming. The reveal was incredible and such a tense moment.

This book is another great addition to the Columbia River series. There are so many great characters that make appearances throughout Kendra's books. Although this is book 6 it can be read as a standalone. The character's backstories are explained enough to make sense and jog the memories of people who have read the whole series.

The tension in this book is next level and I swear I held my breath for the last half. I was stressed about so many different characters. Evan and Rowan are a cute couple and their families are so sweet. I also loved getting to know more of the team and see hints of their personal lives. Thor is such an adorable character.

The investigation is packed full of suspense and I had no idea how they were going to solve the case.

Oh my god I loved this book so much. It's one of my favourites I've read this year. I didn't want it to end while simultaneously incapable of putting it down.

I adored Selah and Greyson is a top tier book boyfriend. They are so damn good together. They have incredible banter as well as deep meaningful talks. They support and show each other the love they both deserve. The playlist was too damn cute.

While they are perfect together they both have their issues. The growth they both show is beautiful and they feel so human. I just loved that they helped each other while also taking the time to work on themselves.

There are so many great characters. They both have lovable families and friendship groups. The scene with Greyson's Dad made me well up. Selah's friends were the kind of group every girl wished they had. I think Audrey and Eric were my favourites but they are all amazing. I can't wait to see more of their stories in this series.

This book has you feeling all the emotions. It's funny, sweet, spicy, and emotional. I cannot wait to see more from Evelyn Leigh.

This is such a great series and while the books can be read as standalones I think they work better read in order so you get to see the character development. The whole team is lovable, well minus detective douchebag. There is the perfect amount of the characters personal lives that doesn't distract you from the investigation but helps you connect with the team. I need to know more about Turner and his past though. I have a feeling it'll be juicy.

As for the investigation, it's packed full of twists and turns that kept me guessing. I had no idea who the bad guy was or what was coming next. The tension is kept up all the way to the dramatic ending. If you are looking for a thrilling crime series then definitely check this one out because all 21 books are as good as the first.

I love this series. Book 2 is even better than the first which I didn't think possible. The entomology side is such an interesting addition to the investigation process. I loved learning little bits about all the various bugs involved. Who knew there was such a big market for illegal insects. The investigation had me hooked and kept me guessing all the way to the end. The secondary investigation into the illegal insect smuggling drew me in and I can't wait to see where that goes.

There are so many great characters in this series and I'm pleased Vanessa's move to New York added some more people to fall in love with. Vanessa is so cool and so lovable and I really like the fact that she's open and honest with her team. Nothing annoys me more than people trying to cover things up. I'm also a big fan of Ru and I look forward to seeing more of him.

This series is so fun. The perfect sexy festive reads. Christmas Notch is a dream setting and there are so many amazing characters. I do think you need to read them in order though. I have read the previous two and I still ended up a bit lost in the prologue as I tried to remember who all the characters were. There are a lot to keep track of but they are all lovable. The rest of the story is dual POV from Sunny and Isaac and is a lot easier to follow though.

Whilst all three books are sex positive, fun reads this one does cover some deeper topics including deression, grief and death of family members off screen, so there's a fair bit of angst.

There are so many great side characters. The old lady cat group were so cute and Mr Tumnus was the star of the show. The hunt for more information about the real Christmas miracle story was an entertaining side quest that made it feel more Christmassy.

Sunny was so fricking lovable and had great chemistry with Isaac. Extra points for a sexy plus size FMC. The dual POV was perfect and really helped show that Isaac is more than just a sad boy. That being said his character and actions are a tad frustrating. Their story is packed full of spice and witty banter.

I also love that we get to see so many characters HEA to perfectly tie up the Christmas Notch series. I'm sad that we won't get to revisit but I will definitely be rereading.

I recommend reading this series in order just because the characters go through so much. You would miss out on so much history between different characters and their growth. The actual case is a standalone but Nate & Madison's personal life plays a big part in this story. I felt for both of them and what they were going through. I was rooting for them the whole time because they are so cute together and they both deserve some happiness.

The whole book was a rollercoaster. The flashback chapters were heartbreaking. It's a fast paced read that had me hooked the whole time. There is a lot going on with a headless body, a missing child, an abduction, and a whole lot of drama in Madison's personal life. I didn't want to put it down. A fantastic read packed full of suspense.  The end was such a surprise
