Yes this book was a 'page-turner' but I think that was mainly because it was such an easy read! It was an ok book with a disturbing and interesting concept, but it was far from exciting. I never got that eagerness to get to the end to find out what happened, because I was pretty sure how it was going to end fairly early on.
One thing I'm not too comfortable with is a common theme for the heroines in these modern 'young adult' books. Why do they have to be so emotionally void and tom-boys, why can't a strong woman still be feminine?
To sum up my opinion on the book, you find that most book series will have you desperate for the next instalment, you just have to know what happens! I have the other two books in The Hunger Game trilogy stirring at me from my bookcase, but I think I'll find another book to read instead. Says it all really doesn't it!

I've read all of Sophie Kinsella's books, and I just love them.which does surprise me because rom coms aren't usually my thing, films or books.
The difference with Kinsella's books though is that they really are good stories and the characters are well written.
This book ticks all the usual boxes, its a lovely book that makes you laugh, cringe, get angry and squeak with glee (ok that one might just be me!!) there is a 'will they wont they' relationship that runs through the book, but you start to wonder near the end if its going to work out the way you think!!
Not all books have to come with some heavy lesson planted all the way through it, some books simply make you feel good and this is one of those books!!
