this series never misses. i sobbed. literally sobbed painfully for the entire book. maybe i didn’t need to read haymitch’s games because it BROKE ME. seeing these dots from the first 4 books connecting and creating a more intense picture of this world… was magical.

much appreciation to maia for the eARC of this!
I absolutely loved the characters, their growth, and the whole storyline. This book was the kind  that I couldn’t put it down! miscommunication isn’t my favorite trope, but the author did it so well that it actually became part of the fun. The characters finally talked things out and learned from their mistakes, which really showed how much they’ve grown throughout the story.
The characters were so different and well-developed that they felt like real people. It made the story even more interesting and relatable.

this book!!! i listed to the audio and never wanted it to end. the narrators were such good choices, the storyline was SO good, and the writing itself had me blushing every time i listened.
aiden valen is the blueprint. i will be accepting zero criticism.

no fault of the book or the author. i was recommended this book and i was told to try even if its not my favorite genre type. i just couldn’t get into it.
the characters were fun, i liked the dynamics, i will probably be looking up spoilers, i just don’t care enough to finish it.

jj has a way of making books feel like they last forever and go so quickly at the same time.
i love an interconnected standalone series because i hate saying goodbye to characters. i feel like im part of these characters lives and i love that it feels like i don’t have to say goodbye.

now for this book. i love vas. i’ve loved him since his first mention and im so glad we got a vas story. i’m even more glad that it was a story with a-spec representation. henri and atlas were such a fun couple to get to know alongside all the characters i already knew and love.

GOD i love this book. i knew how it would end (even if i didn’t know how) but i still spent the whole book on the edge of my seat. it was the perfect amount of romcom, realism, development, growth, and family healing.
usually, i forget names pretty quickly when reading (especially when i read a book quickly) but i could give you an entire play by play with names and details because of how well this was written.

this is the kind of book that’s hard to sit and listen to if you’re prone to zoning out a bit, and that’s my own fault. i like audiobooks because i can multitask, but there was a lot of times where i had to relisten to a part because i was confused. there was a lot of characters, a lot of descriptions, a lot of places, and a lot of movement.
the story, though, had my jaw dropped. it felt a lot like gossip and i love that.
i also have a weird talent of finding aspec characters without meaning to, so if you’re looking for an aspect FMC who doesn’t make that her whole personality, this is a good book.
