i love this series with my whole heart and soul. i feel like so many books have conflict that directly relate to the couple miscommunicating/having relationship issues and it’s always so refreshing to see books with other conflict. i love how this book brought back some of my favorite characters at the end, told a new story that fits into the others, and celebrated people from all backgrounds. 

if jesse writes it, i will read it. the aunties series is such a special celebration of Chinese-Indonesian culture and it was SO fun to read. 
every character was so well developed, the storylines were just crazy enough to be fun, the cultural aspects were interesting, and the book itself was so well written. 
if you’re looking for some light-hearted comedy with a hint of murder/crime/crazy family, this series is PERFECT! 

such a fun read. i’m in my hockey era (queer hockey specifically) so this book was perfect. can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series (i know i started on book 3 but shhhhhhhhhh)

when i started book 2, i was worried i wouldn’t vibe with the new characters as much as the first one, but it was so easy to fit all of the pieces together. 
i’m SO ready to see what happens next, and im SO sad i have to wait until the next book comes out. 

a cute story. nothing ground breaking, but exactly what i expected it to be. 

wow! this book was truly such a fun read! it felt so nostalgic and reminded me of how fun reading was when i was younger. 
the plot lines were unique and interesting, the characters were well developed despite there being a lot of them, and i loved being introduced to this universe. 
i spent most of the time being shocked by the plot twists, which i really enjoyed. 

SO good. this book definitely reads as more of the second half of eli and alex’s story rather than an independent book, but as a fanfic lover… it worked. i was so invested in these fake characters that i am ALREADY so sad that i have to say goodbye to them.
obviously i loved eli and alex, but every character in this book was perfect. coop was so offhandedly funny, kuzy is probably my favorite character in the book(and probably top 5 ever), james and cody’s side story was SO good, rushy slayed in and out of goal. every character was just… wonderfully written and developed. 
 very excited for the third book to learn all about damien and patrick, and hopefully see more of the characters i love already. 

Super cute, super easy read! very little life changing conflict, very fanfic, obsessed. sometimes you just wanna watch a cute couple be cute without some crazy drama happening 

this was exactly what i expected! i went into it knowing the style the author uses isn’t my absolute favorite but wanted to try an audio instead of a print book by her. and i did enjoy it! especially the end! i liked the general plot and the characters were well written!
