This was such a nice, light-hearted read. I really love traveling so I enjoyed that this book is centered around that. Normally I'm not a fan of the friends-to-lovers trope, but I did really like this one! My only complaint was that it wasn't steamy enough for me (I know, you're shocked!). Other than that, I really loved Poppy and Alex's dynamic and I love that it was a slow burn. I also liked the dual timeline!

I loved this one just as much as The Deal, and I hate how Elle Kennedy has made me fall in love with hockey boys 😭 Maybe it’s just me but the hockey boys I went to school with? Not like the Briar U boys… that’s for damn sure. Logan & Grace are perfect and I’m OBSESSED with this series! I can’t wait to read the next one!!!šŸ„°šŸ”„

(also I have to giggle at the fact that I read the majority of this book on an airplane seated next to a man studying his Bible. if he caught a glimpse of what I was reading?? man’s probably prayed for me & my sins šŸ™šŸ»)

→ Things I Liked: chapter lengths, lovable characters, perfect amount of steam, fast-paced

→ Things I Disliked: no complaints yet again!!

Am I crazy or did I find my new favorite romance series? Don't get me wrong, I still love the Bromance Boys and the Brown sisters... but this book was so fun and honestly just what I needed.

The steam level???? CHEF'S KISS šŸ¤ŒšŸ¼šŸ’‹ Hannah and Garrett's chemistry is literally out of this world and I found myself envious and giddy throughout the entire book. This romance pulled me out of a *deep* reading slump and I would give it 10 stars if I could. I cannot wait to start The Mistake, which I will shamelessly be starting tonight 😌

DID NOT FINISH: 28%

I really could not get into the author’s voice for narration. Also, I understand the need of context regarding animals and the farm industry, but some of it was very graphically described and I had to skip over some parts because of it. Definitely not for a major animal-lover.

Lyssa Kay Adams has done it again!! This series is hands down my favorite romance series and I keep wanting more! I’ve been wanting to read Vlad’s story since we first learned about him and it did not disappoint. Elena and Vlad are so perfect together and I’m glad they had their happy ending. Removed 1/2 star because it was *too* slow of a burn for me, and the ending threw me off?? The plot during the last 30 pages felt rushed and unnecessary. BUT— it’s still amazing and I love the Bromance guys!! Can’t wait for Colton’s story next šŸ˜

Wow… what a phenomenal story. I listened to this on audio and enjoyed every minute. Malala’s story is unbelievable and it’s hard to believe she’s only one year older than me. I also loved that it wasn’t just about her and the shooting, but she included stories about her mother and father, and even some historical/geographical information about Pakistan that I didn’t know. This was such an informative book and I highly recommend (especially on audio!)

I’ve been listening to this on audio on my way to school and back for the last week. What an incredible book. SO informative and reflective— the amount of times I paused to think and absorb the information was astronomical. It’s important to note that this book isn’t just about feminism in the Black community. It’s about feminism (or lack thereof) within all marginalized communities (trans, unhoused, Latinx, underfunded, disabled, and more). This is a must read for everyone— especially those who call themselves allies but have yet to do any work!
