This was a quick and enjoyable read. I received a copy of this book in a giveaway on IG (signed with a box of goodies) from the author. I have been saving it for October, and I am not disappointed.

We follow the Coulton sisters as they try to clean up a magic mess when Bernie, against her better judgement and with the help of alcohol sets a hex loose on Diana and an unsuspecting suitor.

Messing with love spells is a dangerous game which the sisters soon find out may be even harder to reverse or control than they thought.

This was a great book. I don’t read romance but this one had so many other elements to it that it was a good story on top of a good passionate romance. The author did a great job in a very short book of creating this small cozy atmosphere, magical elements and some great characters I could really picture and connect with.

This is a Bad Medicine novella and I really can’t wait for more of the sisters magical escapades.

Thank you Net Galley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

So. That was intense.

Don’t get me wrong. Self help books are awesome. There are so many because we are all out there wandering looking for someone to give us a sign. Most of the time we already KNOW what we are looking for and what we want to hear. We just need someone else to say it. I am not a huge fan of self help books because none of them have spoken to me. They have great ideas. Great concepts. But they all feel very fluffy and preachy. They also all feel very “better than you” and I’m always feeling worse when I finish than when I started. Maybe it’s just me
